The Tease 202
I honestly could not wait to get my hands on this eye shadow palette. As a SEPHORA VIB I had a chance to purchase this in advance and I am so glad I did! Then once I used it I could not wait to review it. This is something you need to get your hands on. When I prefix my reviews with the phrase “The Stuff You Need”, it means this is something special, a beauty item that is well crafted and worth the extra money.
I have never purchased anything from Marc Jacobs before. However, when I saw this in the email, I was immediately struck by how beautiful the eye shadow colors were. Marc Jacobs is a “hip” designer and his fragrances are always so cute. So it goes to say that his makeup would likely be hip and cute too. The palette is long and skinny in a black patent finish. It comes in a grosgrain ribbon sleeve with a snap to keep it safe from harm. The inside of the palette has a little plastic piece that stays between the mirror and the eye shadows to keep the mirror from from fallout, it has “Marc Jacobs” written on it.
The Style Eye Con No.7 The Tease 202 eye shadow palette 7 gorgeous eye shadows in it. These eye shadows are very luxurious. They are soft and creamy in the pan and they go on very smoothly with little to no fallout. I am surprised at how pigmented they are, especially some of the lighter ones. Each eye shadow has a special effect and as each one goes on it retains that effect on the eye so that it looks gorgeous. These really are some of the best eye shadows I have ever used. I will pit them up against any Urban Decay eye shadow or Illamasqua any day. What I like about them is the creamy feel. These go on so nice. I hope to see them in more colors. I also hope to see more bright colors too!

The Tease 202: eggplant sheen, matte grayish purple, matte pale pink, iridescent champagne sheen, metallic pastel pink w/gold shimmer, matte bright fuchsia, deep aubergine w/iridescent shimmer
For my look with Style Eye Con No. 7 The Tease 202 I used the following: First I used Edward Bess Ultra Dewy Complexion Perfector in Light as foundation. On my eyes I used the eye shadows matte grayish purple in the crease, deep aubergine w/iridescent shimmer on the outer lid and under the eye, matte bright fuchsia on the lid and metallic pastel pink with gold shimmer under the brow. To line my eyes I used MUFE’s Aqua Liner 8 liquid liner and SEPHORA’s Outrageous Volume mascara. On my cheeks I used MAC’s Sculpting Powder in Sculpt and Nars Gaiety. Then on my lips I used the old Naked 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil with SEPHORA’s Private Jet shimmer lipstick.
Personally, I think these are some of the best eye shadows I have ever used. For me, the eye look is spectacular. Each eye shadow went on great without any fallout and they blended nicely. The metallic eye shadows looked very glittery but actually went on so smooth and nice I was in shock! I think that the Marc Jacobs makeup line is going to take off and do very well. I am kicking myself for not purchasing the other one because they are both out of stock right now!!!!!
Style Eye Con No. 7 is $59.00 and is available at www.sephora.com. I am not sure if they are available at the stores yet. By any chance are your eye shadow pans loose or tilt in your palette? I bought Starlet and mine are loose. When I turn the palette upside down the pans dangle and I can see tiny bungee like cords that they are connected to. Please tell me I don't have a defective palette. :-(
ReplyDeleteThat look is INCREDIBLE. It makes your eyes look fierce! Think you might have sold me on this one...
