“VIOLET IN BLOOM”:
In VIOLET GREY’s most recent addition to The Violet Files, Nicola Peltz is interviewed by fellow Transformers veteran Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Shooting a Transformers film, with the intense physical demands, larger-than-life sets, and mostly male cast, is a unique experience that only an actress who’s been through the process can truly understand. In a sense, the two were part of a very exclusive sisterhood.  The products used to create Nicola’s look can be purchased on The Shelves at VioletGrey.com and the flagship at 8452 Melrose Place.

ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY x NICOLA PELTZ Q&A:
Q: ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY: So I think you’re absolutely stunning. You see so many Hollywood stars and the teeth, the nose, the makeup — everything is perfect and it’s so boring to me. But your beauty feels natural and real. Can you tell me about your skincare routine?

A: NICOLA PELTZ: I use a lot of natural products. I’m not crazy about the natural thing though. My mom has this beautiful bathroom with a million products and growing up it was so much fun to explore everything. I guess the two things I am obsessed with right now are Bioderma Sensibio H2O makeup remover and Lucas Papaw Ointment.

Q: ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY: Some of my closest friends are make-artists and stylists. They have seen me in my most raw and vulnerable states. It’s almost as if they put your armor on for you and get you ready to face the world. Do you feel similarly?

A: NICOLA PELTZ: Yes. I’ve done projects where I didn’t feel like the makeup team had my back and it made me feel uncomfortable and vulnerable. But if you have people around you whom you trust, like [the artists] who did Transformers, it makes a huge difference.

Q: ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY: After you do a Transformers, you're like the new hot babe in Hollywood. I felt that so many meetings with studio execs were really just about sprinkling a little bit of pleasure on some guy's afternoon. I remember one man did bench curls throughout our whole meeting. Are you worried about being typecast or put in a box?

A: NICOLA PELTZ: I don't know what's coming but I think it's best to just ignore it as much as possible. I have specific ideas about what movie roles I'd love to get next and I'm being really picky about it.
