Review: nelson j Beverly Hills Argan Oil 7-in-1 Non-Foaming Shampoo & Moisture Healing Mask #nelsonj

Recently I had the pleasure of trying out a new line of hair care that is a little different than any I have ever tried before. I love to try interesting products, because they usually out perform those that are of the status-quo. This shampoo and hair mask definitely is an interesting duet! Nelson Chan is a hair stylist in Beverly Hills who has his own line of hair products. He is recognized for his ability to style hair, hair coloring and his celebrity clients.

7-in-1 Non-Foaming Shampoo $22.00

This shampoo is a revolutionary product in hair care. The 7-in-1 formula should replace your shampoo, conditioner, detangler, shine spray, smoothing serum, color protector and pre-styling lotion. It is the first non foaming shampoo that cleanses the hair thoroughly without all the harsh ingredients that are usually found in ordinary shampoos. The shampoo is designed so that it does not strip the hair and scalp of natural oils. Hair is left with shine, moisture, manageability and retains color. The shampoo does not have any sulfates or parabens. It is for all hair types and works best for dry, color treated or damaged hair.

I knew going in that this shampoo did not foam. It was a little odd using this formula. This takes a little getting used to, but in the end my hair did feel clean afterward. The directions say to start at the scalp and then work downward. Use a little bit of water. At the end, you work it through with a comb to make sure that all of the hair has shampoo incorporated into it and then rinse it out. After rinsing hair is left feeling soft and silky, not damaged like it usually it usually is.

Does it really replace conditioner? And shine spray? Smoothing serum? I have very damaged and naturally frizzy hair, so for me to go that far and say it replaces all of those products is hard to do. But I do think it does replace the conditioner at the very least. After washing my hair it felt nice and conditioned, as if I had used a regular conditioner. Very soft and shiny. But I still felt the need to use my shine serum. My hair tends to be on the frizzy side and after drying it I felt it had some frizz to it. In the end , I feel it does a great job at cleansing and conditioning the hair. However I still had to use my styling products.

Moisture Healing Mask 4 oz. $20.00

moisture healing mask
This is a healing treatment, better than a regular conditioning treatment. This mask is 100% Argan Oil derived and provides long lasting results for dry, color-treated or damaged hair. I tried the coconut scented mask, but it also comes in Pomegranate and Rosemary Mint. The mask comes in a 4 oz. size for $20.00 or a 16 oz. size for $59.00. The ingredients in this mask come from some interesting sources, such as volcanic rock. There are a lot of oils in this mask, so hair will definitely come out shiny and soft. I like this healing treatment.

It can be used as a deep conditioning treatment or as a light conditioner, depending on what you feel you need. If you have fine hair, use for a couple of minutes. For deep conditioning leave on towel dried hair and use a blow-dryer to help deep condition the hair. After the treatment hair will be extremely soft, silky and have a ton of shine. This really helps dry, damaged hair.

  1. Love these products! I find the shampoo to be an addiction. The more you use it, the more you love it. Also the conditioner is terrific. A little goes a very L O N G way.
