Review: boscia Tsubaki Oil-Infused Exfoliating Powder #boscia, #TsubakiOil

tsubaki oil-infused exfoliating powder
boscia Tsubaki Oil-Infused Exfoliating Powder is a thorough yet very gentle powder that exfoliates the skin. It gives the skin a baby-soft smooth feel and makes it look bright again. The powder removes debris and oil from pores and the skin’s surfaces all while providing deep-hydration and anti-aging benefits. Gentle enough for everyday use and for all skin types.

In Japan exfoliating powders have been used for hundreds of years to promote a youthful complexion. Traditionally small grains of adzuki beans and rice bran powder are made into a paste and mixed with Tsubaki oil or water. With this preparation, the grains are dried and then coated in Tsubaki oil. Once activated with water, the Tsubaki oil is released and treats the skin to create baby soft skin and a smoother, brighter complexion.

The adzuki beans, which grow in Eastern Asia, have a natural exfoliating property that helps remove dead skin cells and debris from the pores. They improve circulation, sooth the skin and are rich in saponins (anti-oxidants that stimulation the skin’s immune system). Rice Bran powder is a very gentle exfoliant that also helps to absorb debris from the pores, absorb excess oil and it contains tocotrienols that help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Tsubaki Oil (Camellia Oil) firms, hydrates and protects against free radical damage. It’s anti-oxidant properties are comparable to Vitamin C, acting as a moisturizing ingredient. The oil also increases collagen synthesis in the skin and inhibits the production of collagenase, which is the enzyme that contributes to the breakdown of collagen. Tsubaki Oil also contains Omega 6 and 9, which provide thorough exfoliation and deep hydration to the skin. This powder also contains boscia’s proprietary blend of Jojoba Leaf and Willowherb. Jojoba leaf prevents free radical damage while nourishing the skin and Willowherb calms skin inflammation and reduces visible redness and irritation.

This exfoliating powder is great because you can actually titer the exfoliation to your preference. Depending on how much exfoliation you want, use more or less water. To use, place some of the powder in your hand. Then add water. Use a little bit of water for more exfoliation or more water for less. Apply to the face and work it all over, massaging. To increase hydration benefits, mix the paste with Tsubaki Beauty Oil. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Feel the baby soft smooth skin and enjoy how your skin will feel. I love how gentle this powder is. It exfoliates without any harshness and leaves skin feeling extremely soft and smooth without any particles that scratch the skin, leaving it red or irritated. This powder helps bring circulation to the skin but in a gentle way, without being harsh. It is great for all skin types, even those with active acne lesions.
