Review: Scalisi Skincare Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 #Scalisi

sc001.01com-scalisi-skincare-anti-aging-moisturizer-spf-30I tried a sample of the Scalisi Skincare Anti-Aging Moisturizer. It has a broad spectrum SPF 30 and does not have oxybenzone included for a sunscreen. This moisturizer is also paraben-free. It is FDA approved, has not undergone animal testing and is dermatologist tested. It is also retinol-free. This moisturizer has been shown in scientific tests to reduce wrinkles by up to 45% in 8 weeks. It is best for normal to oily skins and contains macadamia nut oil, hazelnut oil, cucumber oil and squalane to moisturize the skin. It also contains white tea extract to brighten skin and soy proteins to regenerate skin. This moisturizer has great ingredients to help prevent aging and to help repair aging skin. Some of the other anti-aging/moisturizing ingredients in this moisturizer are Vitamin E (a well known anti-oxidant), panthenol (a soothing ingredient), multiple peptides (amino acids that work to help fight fine lines and wrinkles), glycerin (a humectant to attract moisture to the skin) and camellia leaf extract (a moisturizer and anti-oxidant).

The sunscreen ingredients in this moisturizer are avobenzone 3%, octinoxate 7.5% and octisalate 5%. They are chemical in nature, so if you can handle chemical sunscreens then this would be a good fit for you. It is known that most of the skin aging we experience comes from sun exposure, up to 90% of it can come from sun exposure to be exact. Sunscreen is essential to keep our skin from looking older, to keep lines, wrinkles and skin discolorations at bay. Most important of all is that sunscreen prevents skin cancer. It is recommended that we wear at least a SPF of 30 that is broad spectrum, meaning it helps to reflect UVA and UVB rays off of the skin. It is also essential to limit time in the sun, especially from the hours of 10:00 am-2:00 pm, when the sun’s rays are the strongest. I happen to have very fair skin and I burn very easily. I have a lot of early sun damage that happened when I was young. I wear a SPF of 30 every day now.

I had a small sample of this to try out. I did find that it works as a good moisturizer. I have normal skin that tends to be somewhat oilier in the spring and summer and somewhat drier in fall and winter. Since this is a good fit for normal to oily skins, I thought that it would work good for my skin type. It did. After application in the morning it sunk right into my skin and my skin felt completely hydrated. My skin did not feel oily during the day. Since I did not have enough product to test for a month, I cannot say whether or not this product helps with aging skin or not. But I can say that the ingredients in this product are good for aging skin and I do think that they should help make skin look younger with extended use.

Scalisi Skincare Anti-Aging Moisturizer comes in a 1.7 fl.oz. bottle and retails for $65.00. It is available from www.scalisiskincare.com.
