Review: OZ Naturals 50% Glycolic Acid Face Peel #OZNaturals #FacePeel

Oz Naturals 50 Face Peel

I am a huge proponent of using alpha hydroxy acids for anti-aging skincare. I think they are just about the best way to get skin in shape. AHAs, as they are commonly called, take skincare to the next level. They exfoliate dead skin cells, help with fine lines and wrinkles, get rid of hyperpigmentation and they also help with photo aging due to sun damage. It is best to start off with a low level AHA peel and work up to a higher level AHA peel. I have been using peels for many, many years so I can safely use this 50% glycolic acid peel on my skin.

This peel is said to be a 50% glycolic acid peel. Apply the peel this way: start with a cotton pad and apply the peel to it then to the entire face except to the eyes and lips. Avoid these areas. Let sit for up to 5 minutes. Now, I am going to say this as a professional Esthetician. In order to use this safely it needs to be left on the skin for only up to 5 minutes. That is it. Otherwise you could do some serious damage to your skin if you are not used to using peels this strong. The signs you need to look for are strong stinging, strong itching and strong burning of the skin. If these occur, neutralize the peel right away. The best way to neutralize the peel is with a solution of baking soda and water. Use a tablespoon of baking soda to 4 oz. of water. Use a cotton pad and dip it in the water and apply all over the face to neutralize the peel. Rinse face with cool water, dry off and avoid products with retinol and alpha hydroxy acids for the night. Use only gentle products that night. Make sure to use sunscreen the next day, at least a SPF 30 or more. As long as you are using peels you should use a SPF 30 or higher.

This peel is available on Amazon.com for $24.95. It comes in a 1 oz. bottle. Here is the link: http://amzn.to/1MhEdeZ.

Until Next Time~
