Review: Back to Beauty Anti-Wrinkle Head Cradle #BacktoBeauty

(product photos courtesy of www.backtobeautysleep.com)

I tried something recently that was a little bit different. It's called the Back To Beauty Anti-Wrinkle Head Cradle. Apparently when we sleep on our sides or on our backs we are subjecting ourselves to all kinds of awful wrinkles in many areas such as the face, neck and chest. To counteract this, a pillow has been invented and patented that allows you to sleep without getting any wrinkles at all in these areas. My only problem was learning to sleep on my back. It is hard for me because I need to sleep on my side. I have four fused vertebrae in my lumbar region and my lower back pain is extreme. To counteract the pain of sleeping on my back I would need to try and have something under my knees to see if this would help with the pain. I thought I would give it a go for the good of research.

Here are some photos of the actual pillow:

The patented Back to Beauty™ Anti-Wrinkle Head Cradle isn't just another back sleeping or wrinkle prevention pillow. It's incredibly versatile, soft yet supportive, has a form-fitting head cradle that aids in training you to consistently and comfortably sleep on your back while eliminating pressure on, or anything touching, your facial skin during sleep. It's made with fluffy hypoallergenic down-alternative fiber that was created specifically to enable use if various positions to allow you to find your personal comfort zone. It is foam free and won't compress to get hard and hot like foam mold pillows can. It retains a full and luxurious feel that supports the neck and stabilizes the head during sleep.

Studies show that sleeping on your side and stomach creates sleep line and wrinkle  (not to mention jowls, bags under the eyes, neck, chest and breast wrinkles) that become etched into the skin and won't go away over time. With the average human head weighing between 8-10 pounds, those not sleeping on their backs are putting weight and pressure on delicate facial skin and reducing or even counteracting the benefits of moisturizing anti-wrinkle lotions, acne treatments, cosmetic injections and facial surgeries.

Many have trouble consistently and comfortably sleeping on their backs. And if you aren’t already a back sleeper, deciding to sleep on your back isn’t as easy as it sounds. It requires some time to train yourself to back sleep, and even then, it's hard to feel secure and snuggled when your head is susceptible to the gravitational pull that will make it fall to the left or right during sleep.

The Back to Beauty Anti-Wrinkle Head Cradle beauty pillow's proprietary design doesn’t just focus on wrinkle prevention, but also addresses the difficulties and discomforts of back sleeping. The unique crescents at the top of the base, cradle the head, allowing you to feel secure without putting any weight on your face. The extended length of the cradle base, beneath the crescents, also offers important and comforting neck support.

The Back to Beauty Anti-Wrinkle Head Cradle beauty pillow's proprietary design softly, yet securely, cradles the head and neck to prevent your head from falling side-to-side, and keeps delicate facial skin from being touched and damaged during sleep. It also prevents you from giving yourself neck, chest, and breast wrinkles while you are sleeping. Protects against skin blemishes that can result when the face comes in contact with the bacteria on pillows. Aids in training you to achieve consistent and comfortable back sleep, the recommended position to avoid sleep-line wrinkles, promote proper spinal alignment, and combat acid reflux. Face lotions are left undisturbed alone during sleep, allowing them to do their job. Hair doesn't get flattened from weight of head during sleep. Can be used alone or on top of a favorite pillow. The compact size packs easily for travel. It comes with two washable pillowcases. One of them is satin. I prefer the satin one.

So this is everything the pillow does do. How did I do with the pillow? I must say I had a hard time using it because of my back problems. I would wake up in excruciating pain because of lying on my back all night. As a side sleeper I would sleep with a pillow between my knees to help take some of the weight off of my back. So, this pillow just never worked well for me. I cannot sacrifice my comfort for a pillow. However, I do see the logic in how this is made and where they are coming from. Lying on one side would increase the weight significantly, allowing wrinkles to form over the years. Unless you change from side to side all through the night, you will likely see wrinkles forming on the side of the face and in the chest area. I wish I had had more luck with the pillow, but I do think it is a great invention and does add a good service to the beauty industry. It would definitely aid in preventing wrinkles from forming.
