The trend in foundation these days has been towards full-coverage, long-wearing, waterproof foundations. CARGO has been a leader in this field, with their SWIMMABLES line of makeup, which is all waterproof and long-wearing. I am a HUGE fan of these kinds of foundations, which tend to be a little bit thicker and with just a small amount can cover your entire face and make it look like there are no blemishes, freckles, etc. on the face. This way one can get an entire smooth face that looks flawless.

CARGO Cosmetics SWIMMABLES Longwear Foundation is a full coverage, water resistant foundation that comes in eight shades. There is fair, light beige, nude, warm nude, warm beige, sandy beige, caramel and mocha. I tried the fair shade. The foundation is an ultra-fluid, long-wearing foundation that provides buildable, full coverage for a flawless complexion, rain or shine. The weightless foundation melts perfectly into the skin for a fresh and youthful appearance. This foundation contains fruit extracts that help maintain this type of appearance. 

To use, the foundation may be applied with fingertips, sponge or the CARGO Magic Brush. Apply to a clean, moisturized face that has also used a sunscreen of at least a broad spectrum SPF30. If using fingertips, or sponge, apply in the center of the face and blend outward. For more coverage, lightly stipple additional foundation to the needed area and blend with a sponge until desired coverage is achieved. It is definitley important to wear a broad spectrum SPF30 or higher on the skin because this foundation doesn't have a SPF in it.

I like that this foundation is water-resistant and long-wearing. When I used it I was particularly hot that day and I felt that my makeup did not melt when I used this foundation. I like the Fair shade, which is a perfect match for my skin tone. The way I apply this foundation is with a sponge and I stipple it all over my face, using a push and motion and blend outward from the center of the face. I think this is one of the better long-wearing foundations that I have tried. It definitely feels good on my face, as if there weren't anything on there at all.
