Setting sprays are almost ubiquitous in the makeup regimen of most women now, as we have come to realize just how an important role they help play in helping to set our makeup. It doesn't really matter how much you pay for your setting spray, you can easily find one that fits your budget. COVERGIRL recently came out with their own version that is especially nice. It is called Clean Fresh Prep & Set Water Setting Spray and comes in three fragrances. I tried Rose, which smells divine. It also comes in Citrus and Cucumber. Their setting spray helps to hydrate, preps and refresh the skin. It is a vegan formula and is formulated without phthalates, mineral oil, formaldehyde, talc, parabens or sulfates. It absorbs quickly and doesn't disturb the makeup on the face, especially mascara. This setting spray is also very soothing to the skin.
There are a couple of ways to use this spray. You can use it on the skin as a primer and spray it on before makeup or as an actual setting spray to help set your makeup. It works quite well either way. I like to use it after my sunscreen of course, as a primer to help prime my skin before my foundation. Then after I have used my makeup, I set it with the setting spray and let it dry. Then my makeup is all set for the day! You will find that the rose scent is light, not overpowering. If you are allergic to scents. I would stay away from this one. However, if you don't mind them, then this is a good choice for you, as it is an economical alternative some of the other setting sprays that cost upwards of $25-$30 a bottle and offer the same quality. Finally, you can also spray it on as a refreshing spray throughout the day to refresh your makeup.
