I have always had the worst dry skin. And it has been the bane of my existence for my entire life. I cannot swim in chlorinated pools because it makes my skin itch so bad, the chlorine dries my skin out too much. Even just taking a shower makes my skin so dry, as there is chlorine in the regular tap water that is drying to my skin. That is one reason why I love body oils so much but they usually make your skin feel greasy and slippery, like a wet seal. However, that is, until I found the NIVEA Nourishing Body Oil.

This body oil dries quickly. It is light yet is deeply nourishing for the skin. It contains only three oils: avocado oil, macadamia oil and cottonseed oil. Yet is moisturizes the skin and leaves it feeling soft, supple and beautifully radiant. Without the slippery feeling that is normally associated with body oils. Yes, it is expensive, but it is so worth every penny. I would rank it on par with other body oils that are not found in the mass market. And it works like magic. Avocado oil is very rich in oleic and fatty acids, therefore it helps to heal dry skin and even skin wounds. It also helps to synthesize collagen and decrease inflammation. Macadamia oil is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins and other nutrients that make it a "superfood" for the skin. It makes a wonderful moisturizer for dry skin and helps make skin dewy and glowy. Also, it is known to have anti-inflammatory properties and can help improve fine lines and wrinkles on your body skin (hands & chest). Cottonseed oil is incredibly moisturizing, is high in Vitamin E, fatty acids, and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Because all of these oils are high in anti-inflammatory benefits, not only would I endorse this for those with dry skin but I would also recommend this product for diabetics. It would help to heal dry skin, keep skin from cracking and also help to heal minor cuts and wounds found on the body. Diabetics need this especially because their skin lacks circulation due to the disease. I find it deeply moisturizing for my dry skin and would definitely purchase it again. It is best used after the shower when skin is damp and can absorb the moisturizing oils easily, but can be used anytime. Any skin type can use this product, as it absorbs quickly.

NIVEA Nourishing Body Oil retails for $22.99 and is sold on www.amazon.com.

Until Next Time~
