Review: essence makeup fruit kiss caring lip balm #essencemakeup #fruitkisslipbalm #beauty #lipbalm #cosmetics #makeup

 (product photo courtesy of www.essencemakeup.com)

There is nothing like a good lip balm to help take care of dry, chapped lips in the winter. Lip balm is essential any time of the year actually. Unfortunately the skin on our lips does not produce sebum, so we have to apply something to help seal in moisture. essence makes a wonderful lip balm that happens to be inexpensive and easy to use.

essence makeup fruit kiss caring lip balm with a kiss of fruity flavor contains 10% almond oil to help seal in moisture so that lips will feel super-soft and irresistibly smooth in seconds. It also smells delicious. With delicate color application and subtle shimmer effect. Available in the following fruity scented varieties: raspberry, cherry, strawberry, coconut, lime and pineapple. This lip balm is vegan, paraben-free, preservative-free and alcohol-free.

To use: apply to bare lips and feel them instantly become smooth and nourished.

Here is a photo of me wearing the lip balm in raspberry dream:

This lip balm is nice because it comes in a nice light fruity flavor and a very light shimmer that that shows up nicely on naked lips, as you can see from the photo above. The lip balm is not too heavy but heavy enough that it wears for a long enough time that it doesn't wear off immediately. It has 10% sweet almond oil in it which helps to keep lips moist and nourishes them, making lips soft and kissable.

essence makeup fruit kiss caring lip balm retails for $5.99. It is available online at www.essencemakeup.com and ULTA Beauty. Review: FACTORFIVE Anti-Aging Cream Mini #FACTORFIVE #AntiAgingCreamMini #Beauty Skincare

 (product photo courtesy of www.factorfiveskin.com)

0.34 fl.oz./10mL $65.00

Yesterday I reviewed the FACTORFIVE Regenerative Serum Mini (https://bit.ly/3krlhkXwith growth factors. Today I will be discussing their Anti-Aging Cream Mini, which is a smaller version of their popular Anti-Aging Cream. This product is a hydrating cream that has been shown to visibly improve signs of aging such as redness, fine lines & wrinkles, skin tightness, thickness and uneven skin texture. FACTORFIVE Anti-Aging Cream Mini combines powerful human stem cell derived growth factors with a comprehensive array of moisturizing ingredients to leave skin feeling rejuvenated and youthful. It is supposed to be suitable for all skin types and features a non-irritating formula. Results should be visible within 4 weeks. The formula has been formulated with humanity in mind, without parabens, mineral oil, sulfate detergents, phthalates, urea, DEA, TEA, and has not been tested on animals.

FACTORFIVE Anti-Aging Cream Mini combines powerful human stem cell growth factors with a comprehensive array of moisturizing & anti-aging ingredients. Suitable for all skin tones and (supposedly) all skin types, this hydrating formula visibly improves the signs of aging. Human stem cell conditioned media is one of the main ingredients in this anti-aging cream, listed second on the ingredient list. These are the new hero products in anti-aging. This ingredient helps to reduce the look of fine lines & wrinkles, as it stimulates cell renewal and differentiation. Applying it to the skin helps to stimulate the repair of facial photo-aging resulting in collagen synthesis, thickening of the epidermis and the clinical appearance of smoother skin with less visible wrinkles. Aloe barbadensis leaf juice is next on the list of ingredients, and it helps to add moisture to the skin and soothe inflammation & redness. Glycerin, a powerful humectant that can reach deep into the dermis, is responsible for adding moisture to the skin. It also helps to reduce that tightness and dryness in the skin. Niacinamide gets rid of hyperpigmentation/redness and works very quickly. Shea butter is another ingredient that helps to moisturize the skin, helping to get rid of dryness and tightness. Bis (tripeptide-1) copper acetate has been confirmed in studies to have significant anti-wrinkle effects. Camellia sinensis leaf extract is also known as green tea and is a power antioxidant that has significant effects on free radicals and helps in cell-functioning. Palmitoyl tripeptide-37 is a peptide that has been shown to reduce wrinkles in as much as 88% in 28 days. Acmella oleracea extract has been shown to reduce the intensity of muscle contractions which leads to a relaxation of expression lines. Therefore, it is the perfect ingredient for facial skin care products, especially for smoothening crow's feet and wrinkles on the forehead or around the mouth. Acetyl octapeptide-3, also known as argilene, works to relax facial expression lines by lessioning muscle tension. It has been shown to reduce wrinkles by as much as 30%. Vitamin E is the final anti-aging ingredient included and is a smoothing and moisturizing ingredient that also helps to smooth acne scars. As you can see, this has a great number of anti-aging ingredients in it that work to reduce redness, fine lines & wrinkles, thickness, photo-aging, tightness and uneven texture. With regular use you should see results in 4 weeks.

Directions: apply a pea sized amount on clean, dry skin after applying the FACTORFIVE Regenerative Serum. Use AM and PM. If using in the AM, follow with sunscreen.

I only tried a small mini version of this product, but definitely noticed how moisturizing and soothing it was immediately. This is not your ordinary moisturizer. It is a very nice anti-aging cream that worked over-time to significantly reduce the look of redness, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, expression lines and tightness in my skin. I noticed results in as little as 2 weeks, which was about how much time the little bottle lasted. It is light enough that I would recommend it for any skin type really, except for acneic skin. Even oily skin in drier weather would benefit from a cream like this. But this cream is mainly designed for those with dry, mature and normal skin types. I would recommend it for sensitive skin since it helps with redness and irritation, just purchase the mini and do a patch test first.

The FACTORFIVE Anti-Aging Cream Mini retails for $65.00 for 0.34 fl.oz./10mL but is also available in a full 1 fl.oz./30mL for $189.00.

Review: FACTORFIVE Regenerative Serum Mini #FACTORFIVE #RegerertativeSerumMini #Beauty #Skincare #GrowthFactors

 (product photo courtesy of www.factorfiveskin.com)

0.34 fl oz./10mL $70.00

This is a mini version of the best-selling Regenerative Serum that deviates from the traditional anti-aging skincare products. This product has human stem cell growth factors. It targets the signs of aging: fine lines, wrinkles, photo aging, tightness, thickening of the skin, uneven skin texture and more. A potent regenerative serum combines human stem cell derived growth factors with copper peptides to help restore skin. The "FACTORFIVE Glow": their serum is known for giving a more hydrated and youthful appearance. Provides visible results in as little as 4 weeks. Formulated with humanity in mind, without parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, urea, DEA, TEA and has not been tested on animals.

The scientists behind FACTORFIVE have developed a powerful regenerative serum that nourishes the skin and helps to promote healthy cellular activity. Composed of concentrated human stem cell growth factors as well as copper peptides, the effective formula deviates from traditional methods of ant-aging skincare by targeting these 5 signs of aging: wrinkles, sun spots, tightness, thickness, texture and other signs of aging. These growth factors are either bio-engineered in a laboratory or culled from human stem cells. What these growth factors do is help to build collagen in the skin, which actually erases photo damage, wrinkling, uneven skin texture, dryness and thickening. Copper peptides help to do the same thing, they are just not as effective as the growth factors, which are seen as some of the best anti-aging tools on the market. Found in abundance throughout the body, growth factors are large proteins that float between cells communicating messages relevant to growth, healing and survival. They are made by all types of cells. In the skin this includes the keratinocytes and the fibroblasts (those in the stratum corneum and the deeper dermis). Fibroblasts are collagen factories. Growth factors are like keys that activate cells to do things: grow, divide and make more collagen and elastin. As we age (usually by our 20's) that mechanism has worn out and needs to be rejuvenated. Our body starts to produce skin that is less supple and thinner.

Directions: apply a pea sized amount on clean dry skin in the AM and PM. Use under FACTORFIVE Anti-Aging Cream and follow with a sunscreen in the AM.

I was only able to use a mini version of this serum, which had enough product for about 2 weeks worth of use. I did pay attention to the ingredients list, and the first ingredient was the human stem cell growth factor. This means you are getting a significant amount of ingredient in this product. Remember, ingredient percentage matters. The next ingredient that would be significant is glycerin, which would help to hydrate the skin, relieving tightness and plumping up the skin. Then niacinamide, helping to reduce hyperpigmentation. Bis (tripeptide-1) copper acetate has been confirmed in studies to have significant anti-wrinkle effects. Acetyl octapeptide-3 is an anti-aging peptide that which is more stable than botulinum toxin and effectively relieves facial wrinkles. Acmella oleracea extract has been shown to reduce the intensity of muscle contractions which leads to a relaxation of expression lines. Therefore, it is the perfect ingredient for facial skin care products, especially for smoothening crow´s feet and wrinkles on the forehead or around the mouth. Camellia sinensis extract is also known as green tea and is an antioxidant. It has significant effects on free radicals and helps in cell-functioning. Palmitoyl tripeptide-37 is a peptide that has been shown to reduce wrinkles in as much as 88% in 28 days. Sodium hyaluronate is a humectant that is a derivative of hyaluronic acid and works to draw moisture into the skin. The molecule holds 1,000 its own weight in water.

What about the anti-aging claims? I do think that this product would significantly work to reduce wrinkles in as little as 4 weeks, as the claims make, considering the ingredients. I noticed my skin skin felt smoother when using it and that my skin's hyperpigmentation lightened up. I have some very small lines above eyes that started to disappear when I used this. All of the reviews on the website are 5 stars except for one (she had yet to receive her order). Nineteen glowing reviews.

FACTORFIVE Regenerative Serum Mini retails for $70.00 and the original size retails for $199.00

How to Find Your Next Eyeshadow Inspiration

How to Find New Makeup Inspiration

Even if playing with makeup styles and products ranks number one is your list of hobbies, losing inspiration can happen to anyone. This problem has been especially prevalent during the last year with our movement so limited. You have far fewer occasions to show off your looks and the all-around stress can make even the fun parts of your day feel draining.

With all of that in mind, this article is going to share some tips on finding your makeup inspiration again. This is less about specific places to find new looks and more about reigniting your internal spark. We’re going to try out three exercises that can get you thinking in new ways.

Match a Look to Your Jewelry

Using jewelry as inspiration is a great exercise when you’re stuck in a rut, putting on the same shade of lipstick every morning. This time, before you pick up your primer, select a piece of jewelry that’s interesting to you. It could be your favorite necklace, it could be a pair of cool earrings that never seem to match anything or a meaningful amulet that evokes your spiritual side.

Now, put on your piece of jewelry, sit down in front of the mirror, and recreate the jewelry as a makeup look. Choose a color scheme that matches the tones of the chosen piece. Break out that metallic eyeshadow pallet to go with a bronze or golden bracelet. If you selected a floral piece of jewelry, maybe you can recreate the general shape of power petals as you work.

Create an Entire Outfit

If you’re feeling a little stuck on your makeup look, it’s common to feel similar about your apparel. It’s time to dig further back into your closet instead of reaching for that same piece of jeans that you’ve worn every day this week.

For this inspiration exercise, put together an outfit that feels like a more idealized version of yourself. Put on the wild shoes that you love but feel like they’re “too much” or grab your favorite t-shirt that has too many holes to be seen in public. If your wardrobe isn’t fitting your dream look, take matters into your own hands and design a totally unique hat that nobody else could possibly own.

Now that you’re in dressup mode, see what style of makeup feels like the right match. You might discover that your ideal self’s makeup routine is pretty different from your usual choices.

Look to Your Tattoos

Tattoos and makeup have a lot in common. They’re both avenues of expression, letting us decorate our skin for a day or a lifetime. In this third and final exercise, you’ll be taking a good look at your own tattoos. If you don’t have any, use your imagination and pick something bold that you might or might not ever consider in real life.

Check out those tats and see what elements could be interesting to borrow. Thick lines could be reflected in eyeliner and eyebrows. A shark tattoo or a mermaid might inspire an oceanic motif with sparkling blues and green. If there are lots of geometric shapes, see if you can play with sharply defined eyeshadow or bold cheekbones.

Creating new looks with your makeup collection can be a fun and rewarding form of self expression. If you’re feeling burnt out, don’t despair--it can happen to anybody, and these strategies are here to make you feel brand new.

Review: essence makeup High Beauty Hydrating Face Primer #essencemakeup #HighBeauty #HydratingFacePrimer #Beauty #Cosmetics #Makeup

 (product photo courtesy of www.essencemakeup.com)

1.35 fl.oz./40mL $5.99

CBD items are all the rage and have made their way into makeup of course. CBD (cannabidiol) comes from the cannabis sativa strain of marijuana plant. It does not have any active THC in it and only has the active CBD which is a great anti-inflammatory agent as well as acting to help hydrate the skin.

essence makeup has added it to one of their primers, called High Beauty Hydrating Face Primer, to help make a more hydrating face primer that will help dry skin look smooth and flawless under foundation. They have added magnolia extract to add a smoothing finish. This primer adds has a soft soft yellow tint to it that adds a soft, translucent finish to the skin; making for a healthy, radiant looking complexion. This primer is great for all skin tones.

To use: use alone or under foundation. Apply under eyes or on entire face for a regenerating priming effect. The apply apply foundation if desired.

Here is a photograph of me wearing the the primer underneath my foundation:

I must say I really like the way this goes on under my foundation. It is very smoothing and hydrating, I wore it over a Vitamin C serum and sunscreen. It does have a lot of glycerin in the formula, which would also account for a lot hydration too. Cannabis sativa oil is also known for being very hydrating and anti-inflammatory for the skin. Other ingredients that are in this primer are arginine, which is a wonderful amino acid that is used to protect the skin from free radicals. Magnolia extract helps add a smoothing effect to the primer. The tint to the primer is yellow, although that kind of disappears when on the skin (especially mine because I am extremely pale). I would wear this alone too over sunscreen, as it adds a nice smoothing effect to the skin.

Look Your Best In Shapewear With Feelingirldress

Look Your Best In Shapewear With Feelingirldress

Introduction

Most women today still think of shapewear as something that is something our mothers and grandmothers wore. They think of girdles. However, shapewear in the 21st century is a far cry from what it was way back in the early and mid 1900's. The shapewear of today is form fitting and allows a woman to be comfortable in her skin, letting her wear whatever she wants, when she wants. It allows a woman to move and breathe. To not feel constricted.

Types of Shapewear

There are many different types of shapewear available for women today. We have the following types of shapewear available to women in the 21st century: waist cinchers, waist trainer, body suits, butt lift shapers, body shapers, waist trimmers, butt lifting leggings, sweat waist trainers, tanks, camis, men's shapers, seamless shapers, arm shapers, abdominal compression slimmers, bras, abdominal compression tummy shapers, bra tape, short sleeve body shapers, thigh slimmers, posture shoulder support shapers, shapewear belts, and face shaping belts. Feelingirldress provides great waist trainer wholesale prices.

How To Choose The Best Shapewear

Choose the best shapewear according to what you will be wearing. For example, if you are going to be wearing a dress, it is best to try and wear a body shaper to have a nice clean line. What if you want to give lift to your rear end though? There is a nice option out there. It is a butt shaper! Using one gives a smooth shape under skirts and pants. Sometimes a waist trimmer is ideal if you want to just slim down your waist a bit but feel your hips and chest are okay. There are so many options to choose from. What if you want to just want to shape your arms or your thighs? You can easily do that too. Pick something out that you will wear often, and that will work with a number of outfits. Shapewear is malleable enough that you can mix it up with different types of fashions. A woman who is plus size will want to choose plus size shapewear bodysuits for a dress to create an enticing, clean line that is not necessarily slimming but looks pleasant.

Conclusion

Shapewear is a personal decision. It should be based on what you feel should work for your outfit at the time, but purchase something you can use often. You do not want to be stuck with an item that will be worn only once. Choose Feelingirldress for all of your wholesale shapewear needs. The prices are unbelievable.

Polyglutamic Acid: The Potent Peptide For Glowing, Dewy Skin #PolyglutamicAcid #Skincare #Beauty #hydration #moisture #PGA

Polyglutamic Acid: The Potent Peptide For Glowing, Dewy Skin

Everybody wants soft, glowing, dewy skin. The kind that we usually only dream about. Dewy, glowing skin is either usually hard to come by for those of us with dry skin because we lack moisture, or too easy for those of us with oily skin because we have too much sebum. However today, I want to talk about those of us who have dry, mature and dehydrated skin.

When it comes to skincare, humectants usually tend to make the difference. They help to keep your skin moist, hydrated and help keep the natural moisture barrier intact. Humectants are generally some of the most important ingredients we can use in our skincare regimen. And besides glycerin, which is one of the best humectants on the market, there is a new ingredient that is better than the marketing standard of hyaluronic acid (HA). While glycerin is the best of the humectants because is actually reaches down into the dermis, hyaluronic acid is often deemed the "golden boy" of dermatologists and cosmetics companies because it comes in various molecular weights. However, HA only holds 1,000 its own weight in water.

There is, however, a new molecule on the market that is changing things. Technically it is not a humectant, but a peptide and it is called polyglutamic acid (PGA). It actually holds 5,000 its own weight in water*! Four times that of hyaluronic acid! Polyglutamic acid is a naturally derived ingredient that is formed by the bacterial fermentation of soybeans, called Nattō in Japanese. Like many things that are good for the skin, bacterial fermentation could be great for the skin's microbiome. The ingredient is a natural polymer that was originally used in wound healing. PGA is water soluble, anionic, non-toxic, biodegradable and edible. This molecule is, however, very large and does sit on top of the skin, actually plumping it. Thus it increases luminosity and makes the skin glow. It kind of acts like a natural highlighter on the skin, making it great for skin that is dry and dehydrated (*"These claims have been done in vitro evaluation, and while valuable, are laboratory studies where you are simply mixing the hydrogel into a beaker and unlikely it will behave on the skin in that capacity.", says cosmetic chemist Kelly Dobos "The formulation of a product matters. pH and presence of electrolytes can impact performance.").

Just like HA, polyglutamic acid is also a moisturizing wunderkid. It retains moisture from water and has excellent water-binding properties that allow it to have long-lasting moisture retention capacity. Originally it was used in the medical arena for wound healing and burns. Apparently many skincare advancements start with wound care, because you have to keep burns and wounds moist and hydrated. PGA has anti-aging properties. It improves the elasticity of the skin and can reduce wrinkles, by plumping the skin. PGA is a peptide, and its game changing quality it that it helps to inhibit hyaluronidase, an enzyme which breaks down the skin's naturally occurring hyaluronic acid that we have in our skin. This product can be used with HA, not just instead of hyaluronic acid. Because they both enhance the skin and give a beautiful luminosity, they work in tandem with each other, when one of them alone would only provide half the benefits.

The Inkey List has come out with their version of Polyglutamic Acid. It retails for $14.99 and comes in a 1 fl.oz/30mL bottle. The formula contains 3% high molecular weight PGA and is specifically designed to to enhance skin moisturization on the surface. This helps reduce the look of fine lines, as well as brighten the look of skin. The lightweight silky texture of the serum creates a perfect makeup canvas. 2% invisaskin maintains moisture levels in the skin. Use this serum in the am and pm as the last step before your makeup or right before a moisturizer if you prefer. For long lasting make-up, mix a pea-sized amount in foundation for smooth application.

JJ Labs Skin Solutions also sells a version of polyglutamic acid mixed with tranexamic acid, licorice, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid for $19.50 per 1.2 oz. or $29.50 per 2.3 fl.oz., available through Amazon. This version will not only moisturize but brighten the skin too. Niacinamide and Tranexamic acid are potent skin brighteners that are great for stubborn hyperpigmentation.

So, if you have dry, mature or dehydrated skin and are looking for an inexpensive way to make it glow, try polyglutamic acid. It will give your skin a luminosity and a glow to it that cannot be achieved by hyaluronic acid alone. In fact, you can use it alone or with hyaluronic acid to really pump up the hydration in your skin. Because PGA is a peptide and not a humectant, it acts in conjunction with HA. This potent peptide is a whole new new way to inject some moisture into your skin. All without breaking the bank!

Review: No.7 Restore & Renew Face and Neck Multi Action Night Cream #No7 #RestoreandRenew #MultiActionNightCream #Beauty #Skincare

 (product photo courtesy of us.no7beauty.com)

1.69 fl.oz./50mL $26.99
No.7 is famous for its various anti-aging preparations. Originally brought to the forefront via Boots in the UK, this brand is well known for its clinically studied scientifically backed skincare. Skincare that actually works and has a reasonable price point. Recently I tried out their Restore & Renew Face and Neck Multi-Action Night Cream. Read on for my thoughts.

This cream is a very thick and rich white cream that should only be used at night, as it does not have any sunscreen. It contains ingredients originally known from No.7's age defying clinically proven Multi Action Serum that target the key signs of aging in mature skin. This night cream works in harmony with your skin's natural nighttime repair processes to reveal smoother, plumper looking skin that feels firmer in just 4 weeks time. Contains No. 7's unique anti-wrinkle, firming and brightening complexes to fortify and nourish the skin.

Results*:
  • after the 1st application face and neck feel smoother
  • after 1 week, face and neck look more radiant and feel firmer
  • after 2 weeks, face and neck look younger, revitalized and lifted
(*based on consumer perception testing)

This cream contains a number of additives that are considered workhorse ingredients. For example, ingredients like glycerin, Vitamin E, shea butter and hyaluronic acid are not only moisturizing but they are considered standard hot-shot ingredients that do wonders for the skin. Glycerin is an all around wonderful hydrator that is plentiful in moisturizers and penetrates deep into the dermis. Shea butter is extremely moisturizing for the skin and is especially good for dry skin. Vitamin E is very nourishing for the skin and it moisturizes well too. Hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps the upper layers of the skin. This cream also contains Vitamin A, peptides and ceramides. Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) helps to brighten the skin. The various peptides help to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as firm the skin. Ceramides also help to moisturize the skin and can help to maintain the natural moisture barrier of the skin, especially if it has been compromised. This night cream is an all around great night cream for the face and neck.

I would recommend this cream for mature, dry, sensitive and normal skin types. It is mainly a night cream for mature and dry skins but would work well for any of the others listed above. If you have normal skin that tends to get drier in winter, I would recommend this for you. Another nice thing is that this treats the face and neck in one fell swoop, which most creams do not. It is nice to have one cream that will accomplish two actions in one product.

As for me, I found that this cream worked very well at moisturizing my skin. I happen to have very dry skin and I am 49 years old with just a little bit of fine lines on my forehead. I did notice that after one use my skin felt soft, smooth and well hydrated. After using the cream for 1 week, my skin did in fact, feel firmer and looked more radiant and my fine lines started to look better. After 4 weeks, my skin looked and felt firmer, was softer and more hydrated, and was generally much better looking. The fine lines around my forehead looked reduced. I can't really show them on a photograph because they don't show up on photos yet.

No. 7 Restore & Renew Face and Neck Multi Action Night Cream retails for $26.99 and can be purchased online at us.n07.beauty.com. 5 Things You Must Know Before Enrolling Into a Beauty School

5 Things You Must Know Before Enrolling Into a Beauty School

Pursuing a career in fashion might seem like a very easy thing to do, but once you get right down to it, things really start to shape up. The beauty industry has a lot of exciting opportunities for people with dedication, but for that to happen, you must get a formal education from a beauty school.

Attending beauty school is a whole less fun than as it involves learning more than practice. However, what you learn during your school years is going to make a huge difference in how your professional career plays out. In this article, I am going to highlight everything that you should know before you enter a beauty school so that you know what to expect from it.

Choose What Your Learn

The very first thing that everyone entering beauty school must learn is that you can choose from a different number of programs. Every cosmetology or beauty school offers different programs that are meant catered around different careers or specialties. So, to make sure that you don’t end up with something that you never wanted to learn or do, you should spend some time thinking about which specialty to opt for and double-check on the program that you want to select.

You Will Need To Be Creative

The next thing that you have to realize is that becoming a beautician is not a desk job. Unlike a simple job where people spend all their day sitting in a chair and signing papers, you will have to do actual work that is going to require a lot of creativity. The learning process in beauty schools can get very complicated as you will be tested to your very limits. If you want to learn from the best, you should choose a good school like CMU beauty school so that you end up knowing all the tips and tricks of the trade.

It’s Not as Easy as It Looks

A lot of people get into beauty school after looking at aspiring Instagrammers and fashion influencers. However, before you put your future on the line, let me warn you that beauty school is hard work. Being passionate about the job helps a lot, but you will still need to overcome a lot of challenges if you want to succeed in this profession. Beauty school programs are designed to prepare students for the industry, which is why you must take them seriously and learn everything there is to learn.

It Requires a Lot of Commitment and Dedication

You will not get through beauty school without commitment and dedication. Makeup seems like an easy job when you see other people doing it. But if you start doing it yourself, it can seem like a frustrating thing to do. If you don’t have passion for the job, you will not only get bored too fast, but you will also not take any interest in school and end up wasting your time. So, you must see school as a full-time job and spend most of your time inside classes rather than enjoying outside.

You Will Need to Make Contact with Other Beauty Professionals

Last but not least, beauty school is going to open a lot of doors for you. You must grab every opportunity you can and network with as many beauty professionals as you can. Becoming friends with peers in your industry will help you get on the right track and know what to do once you pass out of school. In the makeup and fashion industry, your contacts and friends come in very handy as they will introduce you to the right agencies where you can start working.

Review: elf MINTMELT Cooling Face Primer #elfcosmetics #MINTMELT #CoolingFacePrimer #Beauty #Makeup #cosmetics

 (product photo courtesy of www.elfcosmetics.com)

1.01 fl.oz./30mL $8.00

As soon as I saw that Jeffree Star was going to review the elf MINTMELT collection, I hopped online and bought a few of the items right away. I knew that they would immediately sell out after his review came out and I was right. I purchased the two eyeshadow palettes, the mask and the cooling face primer, which I am going to review here. The MINTMELT Collection is probably elf's most popular one yet. And with good reason. All of the products are cute, fun, inexpensive and worth the money.

The elf MINTMELT Cooling Face Primer is a wonderful primer. This hydrating and refreshing gel makes skin has a unique texture that cools skin upon contact and helps to keep makeup in place. It has a wonderful vanilla mint scent that is not overpowering, but is light and fun. The gel itself is light green and very thick, almost viscous. Upon using, the primer sits on the skin at first and then slowly starts to meld with it, leaving the skin very dewy. This is a hydrating primer, so it is great for skin that is dry, mature and normal in skin texture. One nice thing is that although it is very thick, it is not sticky at all. Some of the ingredients in this primer are listed as containing a lot of humectants such as butylene glycol, glycerin, and sodium hyaluronate. The primer also contains lemon balm, a member of the mint family. It has hydrating effects on the skin. It also contains niacinamide, which helps to regulate sebum. The cooling effect comes from peppermint leaf water and menthol. If you are sensitive to any of these, do not use. I personally found both of them very refreshing and cooling.

Here is a photo of me wearing my foundation over the primer:

Directions for use: apply evenly to face prior to makeup application. Once applied, wait 30 seconds before applying makeup. Use clean fingers to pat product into the skin. The warmth of your fingers will help the product melt into the skin for an even application.

The MINTMELT Cooling Face Primer is one of the best primers I have ever used. Seriously. This product should be made a regular part of the elf line. I love how dewy it made my foundation look. I used it under Revlon's Light Cover Foundation and found my foundation to go on very smoothly, evenly and wear well all day long. I have some fine lines on my forehead and it made them disappear with the hydrating ingredients.

elf MINTMELT Cooling Face Primer retails for $8.00 and can be purchased online at www.elfcosmetics.com. 2.82 oz./80g $8.00

When I saw that Jeffree Star was going to review the elf MINTMELT collection, I hopped online and bought a few of the items right away. I knew that they would immediately sell out after his review came out and I was right. I purchased the two eyeshadow palettes, the primer and the mask, which I am going to review here.

elf has really upped their game. For an inexpensive line, it is packed with fun items that are a great value. Take for example this MINTMELT Whipped Face Mask. I adore this little treat. It is very moisturizing and cooling for the face. The mask contains kaolin, which absorbs oil. Glycerin helps to moisturize the skin because it is a humectant. The ingredient actually draws water deep into the skin  into the layer of the dermis. Vitamin E is also very nourishing and moisturizing for the skin. Willow herb helps to soothe the skin. Then there is shea butter, which is also very nourishing and moisturizing.

Here is a photo of me wearing the mask:

MINTMELT Whipped Face Mask is bright green and very thick. To use apply an even layer to face and neck on clean, dry skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes until dry. Then rinse with warm water. The mask leaves skin feeling soft, soothed and moisturized. It has a minty smell and is very refreshing on the skin. I would recommend it for dry, normal and combination skin types. This mask is free from phthalates, parabens, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, triclocarban, sulfates and hydroquinone. Although, most of these things would not be ingredients that would be used in a mask anyway. elf products are vegan and cruelty-free.

I hate the way I look without makeup and wearing a mask, but I am willing to do it just to show you how it looks. I found this mask to be surprisingly moisturizing and hydrating for a $8.00 mask. You get  less than 3 oz. for $8.00 and that is a really good deal. I figure that is enough for about 3-4 masks. Not bad. I think anyone with dry, normal or combination skin would love this mask. I would not recommend it for sensitive skin because of the cooling sensation. There is a lot of fragrance in it and chemicals too, which those with sensitive skins might be allergic to. If you do have sensitive skin and want to try it out, do a patch test first.
