A couple of days ago I reviewed the DERMA E Ultra Lift DMAE Concentrated Serum. The serum provides firming, hydrating and anti-inflammatory benefits to mature, dry and normal skin types. It is best used in conjunction with DERMA E Ultra Lift Firming DMAE Moisturizer for the most firming and toning benefits.
Ultra Lift Firming DMAE Moisturizer is a thick, rich moisturizer that visibly firms lifts and smooths with its formula. Rich in moisture and nutrients, this nourishing cream contains ingredients that have been shown to help firm skin that has lost elasticity. Their formula contains DMAE, known as nature's firming agent. Alpha Lipoic Acid, a universal antioxidant helps to fight off free free radicals, boosts other antioxidants and gives skin a healthy glow. C-Ester helps to exfoliate dead skin cells and reduces UV sun damage. Resveratrol helps to fight off fine lines and wrinkles. Also included is Kakadu Plum, which has antioxidant benefits and brightens the skin. Jojoba Oil nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Copper PCA, also known as copper peptide, helps with the healing of skin wounds, is an anti-inflammatory, improves skin elasticity and firmness, improves skin thickness and reduces skin wrinkling. Vitamin E nourishes the skin, while Vitamin A (Retinol) helps to nourish and fight fine lines and wrinkles. Ceramide NG helps to replenish the natural ceramides found in your own skin, thus replenishing the natural moisture barrier. Glycerin is a humectant that helps to moisturize the skin, penetrating deep into the dermis. Another humectant that also helps to add moisture to the skin is Sodium Hyaluronate. Thioctic Acid is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that scavenges free-radicals which lead to premature lines and wrinkling. Ubiquinone is another antioxidant and also helps to build collagen and elastin in the skin. Also included in the formula, Allantoin is an anti-inflammatory that comes from comfrey, and is extremely soothing and healing to the skin. Lavender Oil, an anti-inflammatory agent, also has extreme soothing properties. Panthenol is another soothing ingredient, and is incredibly healing (especially when combined with allantoin). The entire formula is a very good anti-aging moisturizer that is firming and soothing to the skin.
To use: scoop a small amount of Ultra Lift Firming DMAE Moisturizer onto the fingertips and apply to the entire face and neck in light upward strokes. Use twice daily. May be used under makeup. If used in the AM, make sure to use a sunscreen over this moisturizer.
This replenishing formula leaves skin thoroughly hydrated, nourished and firmer looking. It is ideal for anyone looking to visibly firm and lift the face and neck. Note that DMAE and Alpha Lipoic Acid are highly effective ingredients and can cause adverse reactions on some skin types, especially sensitive skins. Before starting regular use, perform a patch test for sensitivity on a small area under the ear below the jaw line. If your skin shows an adverse reaction, discontinue use immediately. I would recommend this product for mature, dry, sensitive and normal skin types. The cream is very thick and rich but absorbs quickly into the skin, sinking like a dream and leaving skin feeling hydrated and firmer. Because of the lavender oil it has a natural lavender scent, so if that bothers you I would avoid it. There are many ingredients in this cream that are anti-inflammatory and soothing too, making it great for sensitive and dry skin types. It is especially good for dry skin that has a compromised moisture barrier. As I mentioned, just make sure you do not have a sensitivity to lavender oil, as it is pretty prevalent in the scent and is a good healing and anti-inflammatory agent. There are also lots of antioxidants in this formula and this makes a great anti-aging moisturizer. One does not have to spend a small fortune for good skincare. It is all about the ingredients.
