My hands are ETERNALLY dry. I am always looking for the best hand creams. And with good with reason. The skin on your hands does not produce sebum as the rest of your body does (as is the same with the feet). So, it does not hold onto moisture the way the skin on the other parts of the body does. That is why hands always feel dry and get cracked easily. My skin is especially dry and cracks readily.  I use a lot of hand cream. Experimenting with finding the best ones is part of the fun. Deciem's The Chemistry Brand makes 3 different brands of hand creams and I have reviewed one of the other ones before (https://bit.ly/35M59Vk).

Today I am going to review The Chemistry Brand HA3 Hand Hydrator. What is so unique about this hand cream? Well, unlike traditional hand creams that offer only surface hydration, this one is a triple-function hydrator that has multi-depth hydration while forming an invisible protection "glove" to help prevent moisture loss. It contains both low- and high-molecular-weight forms of Hyaluronic Acid for instant and long term hydration in a base of liquid Mango Butter, Brazilian Açai and Inca Inchi oils. The two molecular weights of Hyaluronic Acid will hydrate different layers of the epidermis (the stratum corneum and the basal layer), allowing for the skin to feel more hydrated. I like this hand cream because it is lightweight yet moisturizes like a heavyweight cream. It leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated and has the most delicious scent. This cream literally melts into the skin and leaves it feeling as if there were an invisible glove applied over the hands. Unfortunately, the reviews on the website are mixed. Some say it doesn't work well and some say it works fine. Personally I think it works more than fine. The scent is strong though, so if you are looking for something unscented, then this is not for you. If you look at the ingredients list it is full of humectants. Hyaluronic Acid alone only hydrates to a certain extent. Fructose and Maltose are humectants that are high on the ingredients list and help attract water to the skin, as they are hygroscopic. There is some Glycerin in this product too, but it is farther down the ingredients list. Allantoin, also on the list, which should help soothe itchiness if you are experiencing any. Squalane is included in the ingredients and helps to hydrate and moisturize the skin too. Another great moisturizing ingredient that is included is Vitamin E, listed in two forms: Tocopheryl acetate and Tocopherol.

Overall, this product did hydrate the skin of the hands very well, which is why I don't understand the negative reviews. I found the product to work well on my hands. Maybe those who used it had drier skin than mine and hadn't been taking care of their hands, used it during the winter months? After all, I started using it in the spring and the skin on my hands was dry but not as dry as it is during the winter. That could be a big difference. It even stayed on after I washed my hands. I would highly recommend this hand cream.

To use: apply to hands as needed. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin.
