Body lotion is an essential for people who suffer from dry skin or dry, flaky skin. Especially skin that is extra dry all year round. Recently I tried out a new lotion from DERMA E that has an enhanced formula. Containing ingredients that break up those dead skin cells and help to get rid of them, leaving skin feeling smooth and beautiful. What is even better is that this lotion smells amazing. It has the scent of lavender and neroli, which are some of my favorite essential oils. Lavender is relaxing and neroli is a light floral. Both help to delicately scent the skin, leaving it smelling beautiful.
This lotion contains both alpha and beta hydroxy acids. It contains Glycolic Acid (an AHA) and Salicylic Acid (a BHA) which exfoliate the dead skin, leaving behind only the smooth skin and getting rid of the nasty dull, dead skin. Vitamin E Lavender & Neroli Skin Smoothing Shea Body Lotion also contains incredibly rich moisturizing ingredients such as Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Panthenol, Glycerin, and Sodium Hyaluronate. Vitamin E is very hydrating to the skin. Shea Butter and Panthenol soothe and hydrate the skin. Glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate are humectants that have excellent hydrating powers. The lotion also contains oils such as Cranberry Seed Oil and Jojoba Oil, which have extraordinary hydrating capabilities. Allantoin helps to soothe the skin. Ceramides are included to help restore the skin's natural moisture barrier.
To use, apply as needed to entire body and concentrate on especially dry areas.
I really do like this lotion. In the summer I usually avoid heavy body lotion because of the humidity and heat but my dry skin dictates that I still need it. So I have been using it only on the areas that are very dry, such as my legs, arms and feet. This lotion is especially good for rough and bumpy skin (such as keratosis pilaris) and skin conditions such as those that don't mimic atopic dermatitis or eczema. As long as you don't mind the lavender and neroli oils in it, this is perfect for any skin type. I would not recommend it for sensitive skin types, of course. But it is good for anyone else. Particularly rich, this lotion is great for winter and fall coming up. I would even go so far as to say that it would make a great lotion for the winter season coming up it is so rich and satistfying for the skin. Moisturizing capabilities aside, it exfoliates extremely well.
