National Hair Loss Awareness Month: This August Women Take a Stand
According to the
American Association of Dermatology (AAD), hereditary hair loss affects
approximately 80 million men and women in the U.S. alone. Women make up
40% of American hair loss sufferers, yet the issue continues to be
thought of as a strictly male condition. As August is National Hair Loss Awareness Month, how about a story highlighting new and innovative treatments geared towards thinning hair in women?
According to Tammy Yaiser, VP of Product Development at ACMG, “Hair
thinning in women can be caused by a number of internal and external
factors, everything from hormonal changes due to menopause or
childbirth; to deficiency in certain vitamins or minerals; to stress,
pollution, medications or over-styling. No matter what the cause, our
Keranique solution is designed to offer everyday women a simple solution
to a serious issue and a means to prevent it from happening in the
future.”
