I had been eyeing this at Sephora. Lucky for me it went on sale! I had been wanting to try the Hello Kitty brand of eye shadows for a while. All of the palettes looked adorable. How could you not want to try one, seriously, how cute is this?
The Hello Kitty Wild Thing Makeup Palette has 12 eye shadows, a black felt-tip liquid eye liner and an adorable wild thing mirror (regular and magnifying) that pops out to take with you where ever you go! The palette is metal, aluminum to be precise. The eye shadow colors are: matte pink, matte yellow, gold shimmer, green shimmer, gray-mauve shimmer, golden peach shimmer, taupe shimmer, sky blue shimmer, matte purple, light bronze shimmer, purple shimmer, dark brown shimmer. What I like about this palette is that the colors are simple. They are bright and clear. They are also very pigmented. The lighter colors are not as pigmented as the darker ones but that is a problem that is so common with all eye shadows. The felt-tip liquid eye liner is also very nice. I used it and the color went on smoothly without any skipping. It did not have a problem with flow.
For this eye look I used the matte purple on the lid up into the crease, the I used the sky blue shimmer under the brow and blended it into the matte purple. I used the dark purple shimmer in the outer corner of the lid and under the eye. (I’m suffering allergies and having trouble with watering eyes, sorry!)
I am glad I finally purchased an item from the Hello Kitty collection. I’m very happy with the eye shadows. My verdict is that they are worth trying, especially if you can get them on sale! From now on I will keep an eye out on other Hello Kitty palettes.
