I usually wear powder eye shadows. Let’s face it, they are long lasting, easy to apply and last forever. However, if you can get some, good cream eye shadows are worth trying. I was able to try out mally beauty’s Evercolor Longwearing Shadow Stick ($25.00, www.qvc.com) recently and I was pleasantly surprised at how well I liked them.
I tried them with the Age Rebel Waterproof Shadow Stick ($30.00, www.qvc.com, http://iamthemakeupjunkie.blogspot.com/2013/01/review-mally-beauty-age-rebel.html). First I used Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance primer on the lid. I used the Burnished Violet in the crease, then Gunmetal (silver one on the right) on the outer edge of the lid and under the eye). I used Rosy Taupe (dusky pink on the left) on the lid and then blended into the Burnished Violet. I did notice a little creasing right away so I put some powder on and then did the Rosy Taupe over again. That seemed to fix the problem.
This eye shadow has 21 shades to choose from, not bad really for a cream eye shadow. Mally Roncal designed all of the shades to complement each other. It is long wearing and easily blendable. She recommends blending with your finger, not a brush. Available on www.qvc.com for $25.00.
