Shiseido has come out with an adorable eye color palette for the holiday season. The Limited Edition Shiseido Eye Color Bar has 9 eye shadow shades that were created by Makeup Artist Dick Page. Seven of the shades are distinct colors and 2 of them are transformative shades that have polarized pearls that allow you to create customized colors and textures. The colors can be layered too! This palette is an expression of Shiseido Artistic Director Dick Page’s philosophy, “Makeup should be fun!”
I have to say that these eye shadows are the softest I have ever used. They go on like a dream and blend beautifully together. The pigmentation is amazing. I am new to the world of Shiseido and so far I am a happy camper. What took me so long to come to this brand? LOVE! Seriously, if these eye shadows are any indication of how this brand usually does things, I am hooked. I recently did a review of their Shimmering Cream Eye Colors (http://bit.ly/18M8LiY) and I thought those were the best cream eye shadows I had every used too. I need to be using more items from this brand.
More about the Limited Edition Eye Color Bar: the 9 eye shadows are Champagne (transformative pearly gold), Noisette (satin taupe), Menthe (pearl mint green), Parfait Amour (pearl lavender), Liquorice (pearly charcoal black), Cassis (pearly red), Curacao (bright pearl blue), Cafe (pearl bronze) and Soda (transformative pearly pink). When I went to swatch them, they went on beautifully and I didn’t have to actually swatch a second time as I usually do with eye shadows. As I mentioned, they are unbelievably soft. When you place them on the lid, they go on quite nicely and I found they blend just as well too.

Looks With Shiseido Eye Color Bar:
I did two looks with the palette. The first look was a little more dramatic and the second a lighter, softer look.
I will let you know I placed these shadows over eye shadow primer. In the first look I took Noisette and used it in the crease. Then I used Liquorice just under that to deepen the crease somewhat, on the outer edge of the lid and I used it under the eye to make a deep dramatic look. I used Curacao on the lid to really make the dramatic statement. Under the brow I used Soda and blended Noisette up and out. I used a liquid eyeliner in black to finalize the dramatic look and a heavy black mascara. On the cheeks I used a bright pink blush with a bit of contour. The lips are a matte peach shade.
Again, I am using eye shadow primer. For the second look, I used Café in the crease, on the outer edge of the lid and under the eye. I used Parfait Amour on the lid and blended it all over. I took the transformative Soda and used it on Parfait Amour and it made the color a lighter purple. Then I took Champagne just in the center of the lid and made a dot to lighten up the lid. All of this made the eyes look very big. I used a lengthening mascara to really make the lashes look longer and make the eyes look larger. On my cheeks I used some contour and a light peach shade. Lips are a very light pink shade of lipstick.
Out of all the eye shadow palettes I have recommended, this is one of the best I have ever used. For one, it has 7 basic colors that can be transformed into other colors. The shadows are extremely soft and pigmented. And all of them wear like a dream. Best of all the price point is good. I did put this on my Fabulous & Fun Beauty Gift Ideas In Various Price Ranges post (http://bit.ly/1cEZzzx). Take advantage of this while it is still in stock because I have a feeling this will sell out!
