Michael Todd True Organics #michaeltoddskin

Michael Todd True Organics leads the way as some of the best organic skin care I have ever used. The most interesting thing about their products is that they do not have any water as the base. Also, there isn’t any alcohol in them that dries out or irritates the skin AND the products have as much as 95% organic ingredients. Aloe vera juice is used as the base of the products instead and it is known for being extremely anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial anti-viral. Their products have no parabens, triclosan, phthalates, sulfates, mineral oil, artificial color or synthetic fragrance. Michael Todd True Organics prides themselves on the fact that they do not do any animal testing. All of the products are tested on the founder, Lewis Hendler, who also co-founded SCUNCI International, the well known hair accessories brand! I was lucky enough to get to try out three products from the brand and I am happy to bring you a review of them.

Avocado And Mango Hydrating Facial Mask

An extremely moisturizing mask made with avocado and mango (two ingredients well known for their moisturizing and nourishing properties). It combines organic aloe vera, sunflower seed oil, cold-pressed avocado, mango butter, shea butter, beeswax and jojoba oils just to name a few of the nourishing and moisturizing ingredients. The mask leaves dehydrated and dry skin soft, supple and it helps to restore elasticity to the skin. Salicylic acid exfoliates the skin so that the ingredients will penetrate better.

I like to use this when my skin becomes a little dehydrated from using chemical peels. Apply to face, neck and d├ęcolletage. Leave on for 10-15 minutes or if skin is really dehydrated, up to 30. Rinse. Use 2-3 times a week as needed. All skin types (except oilier skin types) will benefit from this mask.

$34.00 100 ml/ 3.4 fl.oz.

Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub

A unique, but extremely gentle scrub formulated with charcoal to purge skin of impurities and toxins AND jojoba wax beads to exfoliate the skin. The activated charcoal penetrates deep into pores to draw out sebum, dead skin cells, toxins and impurities. The jojoba wax beads are very gentle on the skin but do a very thorough exfoliation. They scrub well without leaving any “microlacerations” on the skin. Any skin type can use this, even acne prone skin with pustules.

This is one of the most gentle facial scrubs I have ever used and also one of the most effective. Having the jojoba beads gently clean up the skin and exfoliate it is perfect. Then the charcoal is excellent in drawing out sebum and dead skin cells from the pores, helping to clear them out. The duo of ingredients together makes a perfect scrub for any skin type to use and I really like that even those with acneic skins can use it.

$18.50 100 ml / 3.4 fl.oz.

Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner

Toner is one of those things that I really only suggest when you have acne or when the pH level of the skin needs to be restored. This toner is great because is helps to get rid of any bacteria on the skin and it helps to soothe the skin. Its main ingredients are blue green algae and organic kelp in a base of soothing aloe vera juice. It helps to get rid of toxins, nourish the skin, promote cell renewal and remineralize the skin. The toner also contains black willow tree extract, which is known for its healing power and tea tree oil, an anti-bacterial agent. Its scent is lavender and birchwood, which normally I don’t like but in this toner is light enough to make me think I have stepped into a spa. The anti-bacterial toner is great for problem skin, it can help to clear up blemishes. You can keep it around for hormonal breakouts only if you want, and then use the Kaolin Clay Mask to help clear up the skin. If your skin is really bad, start with the Charcoal Detox cleanser.

$18.50  250 ml / 8.4 fl oz

These products are just the tip of the iceberg that are offered from the Michael Todd True Organics line. This line has products for every skin type and condition. Say you have dry skin. There are 23 items in the category for dry skin. The line has cleansers, scrubs, masks, creams and serums and more. Currently they have a regimen for dry skin at $85.00 (save $93.00). Personally, I like that this line consists of such advanced products and are up to 95% organic by nature. It is important to realize that what we put on our skin goes into our bodies. Do we want products with pesticides? These products are definitely well made products, products that work and are worth the money. In fact, the price point for them is not as high as some of the others that I have tried out!

Michael Todd True Organics is an excellent line and is one of the up and coming lines that you will be hearing about more often. The products can be purchased at www.michaeltoddtrueorganics.com. They ship to many countries.
