Review: Spa Sonic Skin Care System #spasonic

spasonic cleansing system

The Spa Sonic Skin Care System is an all-in-one device that is designed to take care of the whole body. It is a 7 piece kit that contains a 2 facial brushes, a large body brush, facial buffer, a pumice stone for the feet and a four pack of batteries. It comes in three colors, as well as white: blue, lavender and pink. The goal of the Spa Sonic is to bring the spa home to you. The facial brush deep cleanses the face and can be used over the sink, or in the bath and shower, as the unit is waterproof. It works comparably well to those other deep cleansing facial brushes. The facial buffer is great for aiding in absorption of serums and moisturizers. Use the body brush to deep cleanse and tone the body. The Spa Sonic tested comparably to the Clarisonic® Plus Skin Care System in an independent study conducted by a leading consumer testing laboratory.

As someone who has used several facial cleansing devices, I can say that you will definitely get a thorough cleansing with the Spa Sonic. You can use it with or without your makeup on. Personally, I think it is better to take off your makeup before using any cleansing system. I just feel like I am driving makeup into my skin, so I always remove it first. Then I apply a deep cleanser and whoosh the Spa Sonic around my face. It is a very pleasant experience. The sponge is designed with Clear Complexion Technology, anti-irritation bristles to keep the face from becoming irritated. I do find the brushes to be extremely soft and gentle. Then, to help with the absorption of serums and moisturizers, I use the facial sponge. Dip the sponge into the product and whoosh it around the face. The sponge helps exfoliate and penetrate at the same time.

I have horribly callused feet, so the pumice brush is a welcome treat. Immerse the feet in warm water for several minutes then apply the pumice brush to them using a circular motion. It helps to get rid of the calluses like professional creams. It can also be used on other parts of the body such as elbows and knees. The large brush can be used with a scrub to help get rid of keratosis pilaris on the body. I find that this and an exfoliating lotion are the most effective ways to help cure it that I have ever seen.
