Algenist’s new cleanser, Purifying & Replenishing Cleanser, is a gentle daily cleanser that effectively removes makeup, dirt, debris and helps to visibly purify the skin. It has a patented Microalgae Oil-based formula that replenishes, softens and balances the skin. This formula does not strip the skin of any essential oils that keep it soft and supple. It is dermatologist tested and it great for all skin types. The formula does not contain any parabens or sulfates. This is an effective cleanser that is great for removing even the most stubborn makeup. In a study done by Algenist, 100% found skin felt clean and pores appear minimized, 98% felt that dirt and makeup are greatly removed and 98% felt that skin did not feel stripped of natural oils. The cleanser formula contains essential oils and herbal extracts such as chamomile, cucumber and tangerine. It also contains Vitamin E, which is an anti-oxidant and panthenol, which helps soothe the skin.
This has become my favorite cleanser! It takes off makeup yet leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, without stripping my skin of its essential protective oils. I like that it can even take off waterproof makeup quite easily without any problem. Even though there are no sulfates in this formula it still has a detergent that allows for the cleanser to foam up,which I like. This cleanser would work for any skin type, even oily and acneic skin. It is a gentle cleanser that really gets the dirt and debris off the skin, making skin feel clean yet leaving it still as soft as it was prior to cleansing.
