I Am THE Makeup Junkie September HIT LIST #IAmTHEMakeupJunkie #HITLIST

I have not been able to do a hit list for a couple of months but this month I am back with a vengance! I have 5 products here that are at the top of the heap for being some of the best on the market. These are not necessarily products I have reviewed but things I might have tried out and loved. So, here we go for September:

#1. Smashbox Cherry Smoke Photo Op Eye Palette $39.00 #Smashbox

smashbox cherry smoke photo op eye palette
This palette from the Smashbox Fall 2014 collection, contains 8 pigmented eye shadows that are excellent for the Fall forecast: rich, smoky eyes. The shades included are: bare, ebony, shell, oxidize, rustic, topaz, unadorned and dark cocoa. What I really like about this palette are the inclusion of a rich reddish shade and a pinkish copper shade that will look great with green eyes. The rest of the shades are perfect neutral shades that will work for any eye color.
This palette is available anywhere Smashbox is sold, such as www.smashbox.com, www.sephora.com and department stores such as Nordstrom.

#2 Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in NEW Nude Shades $30.02 #Illamasqua

illamasqua glamore lipstick
Illamasqua recently launched a new type of lipstick called Glamore. This satin finish lipstick has more moisture than their original formula and is extremely pigmented. They also launced 7 new nude shades with this formula that are so hot! I love these new shades and I think you will too! They are Tease (pink beige), Rosepout (neutral pink brown), Naked (creamy nude), Starkers (soft flesh pink), Cherub (warm coral), Minx (warm rose) and Buff (fudge brown). These shades are gorgeous on and I think my favorite is Tease, by far. It is one of the prettiest nude shades I have seen. Illamasqua can be purchased through www.illamasqua.com. Sometimes they offer free shipping to the US. They also came out with some pink shades that are just as beautiful! Pinkie is very cute.

#3 REN Rose O12 Moisture Defense Oil $80.00 #REN

REN Skincare Rose O12 Moisture Defense Oil
This is an ultra-moisturizing oil that is formulated to help dry and dehydrated skin. It locks in moisture and restores softness, comfort and radiance. By restoring moisture it plumps up the skin. Skin appears renewed, glowing and healthy looking. It protects against free radicals to combat against the signs of premature aging. Radiance is restored, skin is more elastic. It contains Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, which is a powerful oil that can help to refine skin texture, soften skin, keep skin moisturized, hydrate the skin and can calm and soothe the skin.

I have used this oil for more than a month and have been very happy with how much softer my skin has become. My skin has also become more supple. Since I use alpha-hydroxy acids on my skin too I tend to become a little dehydrated and using this has helped it keep more hydrated. Facial oils are great for any skin type, including oily skins. I would recommend this for any skin type as it is helpful for basic skin needs. See my review here: http://bit.ly/1rBSWZ0 This is available from www.renskincare.com.

#4 Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Subversion Mascara Primer  $22.00/$20.00 #UrbanDecay

urban decay perversion mascara with subversion primer
This new entry into the saturated mascara market gives my lashes than I expected. The folks at Urban Decay say that they have one of the best mascaras that volumizes and lengthens at the same time. I have found this to be true but, I think that is mascara can only be “all that and a bag of chips” with the awesome mascara primer Subversion. Perversion Mascara is only “okay” on its own but paired with Subversion primer it becomes a a superhuman experience that gives lashes a super boost. The mascara comes with a sample of the primer, so you have no excuse not to try it out! I think this is an amazing duo that you will love. I have been using Subversion with other mascaras too and it works great with them (don’t tell Urban Decay this!). Alone the primer is $20.00 and I think is worth every penny. So kick back and allow your lashes to become big, black, long and thick with Urban Decay’s new powerhouse duo!

#5 Michael Todd Organics Wild Berry Exfoliating Peel $34.00 #TruOrganic

wild_berry_peel-cont
This is a great skin peel for those who want to help diminish fine lines, surface wrinkles, it improves skin texture and tone, unclogs pores and generally improves the skin’s condition. The peel contains a powerful blend of alpha hydroxy acids, a beta hydroxy acid and fruit enzymes such as: wild blueberry, strawberry, grape and raspberry, that combine for a superior exfoliation. This peel penetrates the top layers of the skin to loosen dead skin cells, revealing younger looking skin underneath. The enzymes unclog pores and the alpha hydroxy acids help to lighten hyperpigmentation. It also contains several fruit extracts and aloe to oxygenate and detoxify the skin for an added anti-oxidant and antibacterial benefit. Wild Berry Exfoliating Peel is great for all skin types except sensitive skins. It is a very powerful treatment and those with sensitive skins would find this treatment irritating to their skin. Michael Todd True Organics guarantees that you will see a difference after the first use of this product.

I was surprised at how strong this peel was! It is comparable to a professional strength peel product. I would say that this is similar to a 10-15% glycolic acid peel. The recommendations are to leave it on for at least 10 minutes. The whole time I had it on I could feel it working and believe me, I could not wait to get it off! I do not have sensitive skin in the least but I found this peel to be very strong. I use strong acids on my skin, professional strength products and this is definitely a product I would recommend if you need something to work on fine lines, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, acne, etc. In fact, I think this would be great for acneic skin. And especially those with hyperpigmentation. If you have sensitive skin do not use this, it could be extremely irritating for your skin. See my review here: http://bit.ly/ZnLztP It is available from www.truorganic.com

So these are some of my favorite items for the past month! I think you will like them a lot and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Until Next Time~
