Today I am going to review four new foundations that are out of this world amazing! I am somewhat of a foundation addict, always on the hunt for the perfect foundation and these come somewhat close to that. The technology these days is so good, that you can get the perfect amount of coverage, with long lasting results and excellent pigmentation in what is just about the perfect package. I can’t choose my favorite amongst these as they each have their strengths, no weaknesses and each one is very good at doing its job. I hope that you will try these out for yourself and find them out to be as good as I have!
Shiseido FUTURE SOLUTION LX Total Radiance Foundation SPF 20 $85.00

Shiseido’s new Future Solution LX Total Radiance Foundation SPF 20 takes skincare and makeup and puts the two together in one complete package. This foundation is an age-defying masterpiece at work. It comes in 11 shades for ultra light skin like mine to medium dark skin tones. This foundation was made to work in conjunction with Future Solution LX skincare. It creates a radiant finish on the skin, leaving it lifted, retextured and brightened.
Formulated with the exclusive Skingenecell 1P, it counteracts the appearance of future aging and it also contains 4MSK, an innovative brightening ingredient, for a luminous, more even skin tone. Aura Radiance Powder leaves skin looking more radiant and Time Match Powder lets this foundation last all day long on the skin. It corrects visible signs of aging such as loss of firmness, wrinkles, dark spots, dullness and large pores. It also maintains essential moisture for a long lasting healthy and brighter look to skin.
This foundation has medium to heavy coverage, making it great for those who need more coverage from their foundation. The coverage can be built up as needed and layers nicely, never looking cakey. It blends so well into skin that you would never know it is there. I recommend this for normal to dry skins, oilier skins might find it a little heavy.

Dior Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation SPF 30 $50.00
Dior Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation SPF 30 is Dior’s first brightening foundation. It is a lightweight foundation that brightens skin, evens skin tone and reduces the appearance of dark spots on skin. It illuminates skin. This foundation was inspired by professional illumination techniques that makeup artists use. It is infused with hollow silica beads that capture and diffuse light in a correcting halo that does not leave skin looking shiny. The color-filter pigments neutralize skin tone imbalances and the anti-‘light’-trap skincare ingredients help reduce the appearance of dark areas, pigment spots and redness. It comes in 14 shades, and there are even a good number for darker complexions.
I personally love how this makes my skin look. It leaves it looking “glowy” but not so much that I feel like a light bulb! My skin looks radiant and lit from within. Even after applying powder skin still looks radiant. This foundation wears well all day long too. The coverage for this foundation is medium yet buildable to full if needed. It is definitely not sheer coverage. I recommend it for those with normal to dry skin. Oilier skins might find it makes their skin look even shinier.

Laura Mercier is famous for her foundation. So I was excited to be able to try this new one out. Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide is a long-wearing, oil-free foundation that magically blurs the line between real skin and makeup. It is a bi-phase (two-part) foundation designed to deliver the most natural looking color and lightweight coverage. Color true pigments rest at the bottom of the package while reflective waters (Hydro-Brilliant Technology) float to the top. Shake the foundation vigorously before each use to ensure that the pigments get blended together to create fresh color each and every time. This foundation comes in 24 shades, with enough variations that everyone should be able to find a shade for them. It lasts 12 hours long, is humidity-proof, sweat-proof and is water-resistant.
There is an application technique for this foundation. Shake and tap to activate it. To activate, shake vigorously for 10 seconds (minimum) and tap several times at the end of the package next to the shade label. To apply, dispense onto the back of the hand and apply to clean skin with a foundation sponge or fingertips. For best results, use with Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer. Once the formula is shaken and tapped, it is activated. A surge of product might be dispensed at the cap and can be expected once the cap is opened. If the foundation appears separated it has not been shaken enough. Just put the cap back on and shake more vigorously.
I am truly amazed how light this foundation is but how much coverage it gives. It really does give full coverage yet looks like nothing is on the skin. It feels great and is one of the most interesting foundations I have ever tried. I think this foundation is almost perfect. It is just about one of the best foundations I have every tried. The coverage is medium to full and can be built up without feeling heavy at all. I would recommend this foundation for any skin type, even oily skins. Laura Mercier has really pulled out all the stops on this product. I am so happy with this one that I am tempted to say that I can stop looking for my Holy Grail foundation and say that I have found it!

Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation SPF 15 $80.00
Tom Ford believes that a flawless complexion is the first step to having a balanced and symmetrical face. Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation SPF 15 is a natural finish, long-wearing, humidity-resistant foundation. It hydrated and evens skin tone, creating a flawless looking supple and pore-less canvas. The state-of-the-art formula includes skin nourishing complex to help smooth and renew skin and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Coverage is medium to full and buildable. It has a broad spectrum SPF that shields skin from UVA/UVB damage. This foundation comes in 15 shades, from very light to very dark skin tone shades.
I like that this foundation has medium to buildable coverage and that it feels light on the face. It does not go on heavy, which is great. Also, it is a long-wearing foundation, which means that it lasts all day long, even in the face of humidity and heat. As this formula has great coverage, it does not take much to go a long way. I would recommend this for combination skin and normal to dry skins.
