I am posting this, mainly because it seems absurd. Or because I am aghast at the price!
2014 marks one hundred years since the first bra patent recorded in history in 1914 by Mary Phelps Jacob. The first ever gravity-defying KewiBra invented – is up for auction with the starting bid at $10 Million. The bra currently holds a world record lift of 16lbs through its patented floating lift system. This first bra invented is to be auctioned as an artistic piece commemorating a hundred years of history as the conventional brassiere enters the modern age. This history is also featured on the KewiBra.com website.
The ‘floating’ bra is set to revolutionise how women dress themselves, and how the apparel industry approaches bra design. Large-breasted women no longer need to worry about support or covering up – the bra takes pressure off their shoulders and back to improve their posture and the strapless design allows them to wear vests, bandeaus and other daring fashion items that they might previous have shunned.
