They just came out with a new exfoliant called Purity Detox Scrub. This scrub uses a unique combination of chemical and manual exfoliants to cleanse and remove dead skin cells to polish away imperfections. It has salicylic acid to chemically and intensely remove dead skin cells. Poppy seeds, jojoba seeds and date seeds scrub away dead skin and debris. The best way to use this is to take 1/2 teaspoon and mix with water or your favorite Cosmedix cleanser. Gently massage over face and neck. Use 2x-3x a week or as tolerated. This product can also be used as an exfoliating mask, left on the skin for a few minutes.
After using this product I was amazed at how soft my skin was. It did feel as soft as a baby’s bottom. Seriously. So soft. I think that was due to the amount of salicylic acid in it. The manual exfoliant in the product was good but it can only do so much. Salicylic acid is not water soluble, so it is perfect for this kind of product. The seeds in this product are good and are not too harsh, they don’t cause any excessive redness or irritation. I really like this product and feel that it is one of the best exfoliants I have tried. Even though salicylic acid is the last ingredient on the list, it must still be at a high enough level that it causes a good exfoliation. I have not felt so good about an exfoliant like this before. It’s definitely one of the best I have ever used!
