SEPHORA has released an entire collection devoted to the Color of the Year, Marsala. This collection contains some of the prettiest items I have ever seen come from the company. I am going to be reviewing this collection. To start out with I have the Facets of Marsala Multi-Finish Eye Palette. This item sold out very fast on the website but is still available in stores. You are going to love the collection. Marsala is a great color that anyone can wear in any season. It is a warm wine shade that can be taken and lightened up or darkened just a little bit to deepen it for winter or autumn. In the spring lighten it with shimmer and bam! It becomes super adaptable.
The Facets of Marsala Multi-Finish Eye Palette palette of 24 eye shadows contains multiple finishes in shades of the Color of the Year (Marsala) plus coordinating shades that blend beautifully with Marsala. The shades are mostly warm shades but if you are on the cool side you might find it could work for you if you use some of the cooler shades in the palette at all times. Finishes include matte, glitter, pearl and shimmer. Shades include Autumn Blonde, Toasted Nut, Burro, Deep Taupe, Marsala Matte, Marsala Satin, Marsala Metallic, Marsala Glitter, Shifting Sand, Cocoa Brown, Kelp, Dusty Olive, Desert Mist, Butterum, Carob Brown, Bracken, Macaroon, Chutney, Russet, Hot Chocolate, Nimbus Cloud, Moonlight Blue, Castor Gray, and Red Mahogany.
Here are swatches of the shades. The Marsala shades are by far the prettiest and the easiest to start work with. I like all of the shades in this palette and feel that this is the best palette SEPHORA has put with PANTONE. It is fun and full of color.

The shadows all have good pigmentation. The matte shades and darker shades especially. I really like the reddish brown shades and the one called Castor Gray, which is a shifting shade, a beautiful reddish brown shimmer. The glitter shades have a lot of fallout. I like that the shades are so dramatic.
Here I am wearing shades from this palette, the Metalshine Liquid Eyeliner and the Bold Marsala Mascara & Brown Highlighter. I am also wearing the Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio and one of the lipsticks from the Marsala Layering Lip Collection.
To achieve this eye look, I used Marsala Satin in the crease. I then took Hot Chocolate and used it to deepen the crease, used it on the outer 1/3 of the lid and to line under the eye. I used Marsala Metallic on the lid and under the brow I used Shifting Sand. Then I took the Metalshine Liquid Eyeliner and lined the upper lid and used the Bold Marsala Mascara & Brown Highlighter on the lashes to give it the final tie in for the look. On my cheeks I used the Shimmering Marsala Cheek Trio and did contouring with it. On my lips I used the color Rose Dawn from the Marsala Layering Lip Collection. It is the perfect pink nude shade to complement the look.
The Facets of Marsala Multi-Finish Eye Palette is still available in SEPHORA stores now and retails for $39.00. It is a great product.
