I am a little late in writing February’s HIT LIST because I have had such a busy month. Three weeks ago I had major back surgery and I have been recovering from that. While I have been recovering from the surgery I have been writing reviews, making sure to find products that are killer. I like to make sure that my reviews are positive. I don’t like to write negative reviews on products and then say bad things about an item. I might say one little thing has something wrong with it but in general I like to keep things positive.
This month’s HIT LIST is compiled of a few products I reviewed over the last month that I really liked a lot. These are the cream of the crop and are products you would do well to spend your money on. So sit back, relax and read on…
1) Kat Von D Innerstellar Eyeshadow Palette $46.00
This limited edition eye shadow palette has 12 shades for spring that will be sure to send you out of this world. I LOVE this palette. So many different looks to do with it. Smoky eyes, soft eyes, deep eyes. Looks that look good with any eye color. Explore this palette with striking lunar inspired array of shimmers and mattes. Complete with three highlighter shades and nine shadow shades to create beautiful depth and dimension. Kat’s original interstellar-inspired illustration adorns the palettes case with a step-by-step guide for creating a variety of cosmic eye looks. The shades are highly pigmented, very blendable and wear all day long without creasing (still, wear an eye shadow primer just in case. I always do). This palette is available at www.sephora.com and SEPHORA stores.

2) Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette ($46.00) and Shade + Light Contour Brush ($36.00)
The Kat Von D palette, Shade + Light Contour Palette contains 3 highlighting and 3 contouring shades. The shades in this palette embrace the true hues of shadow and light with cooler taupe-based undertones instead of the bronze tones found in most contouring palettes. The advanced pigment-packed formula blends effortlessly into skin for buildable, fade proof coverage that lasts all day and night with one-swipe, rich color intensity. Follow the how-to insert and see Kat’s step-by-step illustrations that offer artistic contour solutions to get a flawless face..
The Shade + Light Contour Brush is the perfect accompaniment to the Shade + Light Contour Palette. This brush comes housed in a sleek protective, travel friendly case. It is a dual ended synthetic bristled brush with one end angled for contouring and the other end tapered for highlighting. Glide the angled end along the cheekbones and temples to sculpt them. It can also be used on the sides of the nose and under the jawline. Use the tapered end on the bridge of the nose, under the eyes and the front of the forehead to highlight. The brush works in conjunction with the Shade + Light Contour Palette to give the best contoured/highlighted look. These items are available at www.sephora.com and SEPHORA stores.

L’Occitane introduces a 4 week renewal program for your skin that is guaranteed to give your skin a boost. Based on the fact that skin renews itself every 28 days when we are younger, this renewal system uses a 4 week set of ampoules that are applied at night before your regular skincare. Each week focuses on an unique set of skin issues. Week 1 is Gentle Exfoliation, Week 2 is Hydration & Nutrition, Week 3 is Balance and Weeks 4 is Renewal. After using this system for 4 weeks skin is guaranteed to look and feel different. How did my skin feel? Read the review here: http://bit.ly/18gnskn.

5) Below are my three favorite mascaras that I am loving right now. I could not just pick one. I reviewed one of them but I am including all three because they are so awesome!
L’Oréal Voluminous Miss Manga Black Angel Mascara $7.99
This is a new version of the ever popular Miss Manga mascara that came out last year. This new version takes volume to the extreme. Get high intensity from top to bottom with a 360° flexor brush that reaches every lash and builds volume up to 15x the normal amount. Plus the Black Angel color is blacker than black. Manga eyes are easier than ever to achieve. This mascara has the darkest pigments in the entire range that give you the most intense Miss Manga look. This mascara is available online at www.lorealparisusa.com or mass market retailers.com

Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect Mascara $8.99
I did not review this mascara but I love it. It gives very long lush lashes that are clump free and are gorgeous. Theses are some of the longest lashes I have had with a drugstore mascara. Eyelashes grow in more than one layer and this mascara helps to show those layers. It reveals layer upon layer of lashes. This mascara is also washable, meaning it washes off. It has a curved brush, so start with the inner curve and fan outward to get the best results. This item is available online at www.maybelline.com or mass market retailers.
Rimmel London Wonder’Lash Mascara With Argan Oil $6.99
Get volume and definition all without clumps from the new mascara that also contains Argan Oil. It gives you lots of volume, which is just what I wanted. It also gives plenty of definition, which is not so bad too. The Ultra-Flex brush hugs lashes from root to tip, defining them. This item is available online at www.target.com, www.riteaid.com, www.meijer.com and www.walmart.com and mass market retailers.
