L’Oréal has come out with two new eye shadow palettes that are sure to wake your inner lemming. In the wake of nude eye shadow palettes everywhere, L’Oréal has entered the ring with their own version of nude eye shadows with two new nude palettes, Colour Riche La Palette Nude 1 and Colour Riche La Palette Nude 2. La Palette Nude 1 is a warm version, with shades that just about everyone could wear. La Palette Nude 2 is a more rosy version with shades that are geared toward most of those who can wear cool tones. I like both of them, as I am lucky enough to be able to wear warm and cool tones. Each palette has 10 eye shadow shades. On the back of the palette are 4 looks that can be done with the shadows, and they are very pretty looks.
The shadows are pretty pigmented for drugstore eye shadows. The shimmery shades are definitely creamy and have great payoff. The matte shades are not as creamy but they do have good payoff. They are not chalk like some matte shades, which is good. I think for mass market eye shadows, these palettes are definitely worth the money. I am very happy with them.Do I have a favorite? Well, I like that the Nude 1 has more light shades for use on the lid or under the brow. The Nude 2 palette has more darker shades and it actually looks better on me but I wish it had more lighter shades in the palette. You can of course mix and match the shades.
La Palette Nude 1 shadows are as follows: pale champagne shimmer, cream shimmer, matte rosy tan, shimmery light bronze, matte light brown, matte milk chocolate, shimmery bronze, shimmery dark chocolate, shimmery gray taupe and shimmery pink champagne.
La Palette Nude 2 shadows are as follows shimmery light rosy pink, shimmery rose, matte rose brown, matte taupe brown, matte gray, matte chocolate, shimmery rosewood, matte pink, matte burgundy and matte eggplant.
