StriVectin’s Repair & Protect Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a supposed to be a lightweight daily moisturizer that helps to fight off signs of aging. It contains a broad spectrum SPF 30 from Avobenzone 3.0%, Homosalate 5.0%, Octisalate 5.0%, Octocrylene 2.79% and Oxybenzone 5.0%. It reduces the visible signs of aging, neutralizes free radicals and helps to prevent UV damage. This formula combines next generation anti-oxidant technology and the patented NIA-114TM molecule to enhance skin’s own innate defenses and help to boost its age fighting abilities.
This moisturizer is slightly rich and great for anti-aging purposes. For me, as someone with normal skin, it is not as lightweight as advertised but more of a heavier cream. I apply it prior to my makeup and then wait for it to absorb into the skin so that I am not left with too much of the cream making my foundation shiny. This product not only helps to protect skin from the sun, it helps to prevent aging. It has peptides, botanical extracts, humectants, Vitamins and even lactic acid to help exfoliate some. And of course it has the patented NIA-114TM molecule associated with every StriVectin product. These are all ingredients that help to repair skin that has visible signs of aging. It is very important to wear a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 on your face every day. The sun’s rays are extremely damaging and to prevent aging you need to do this. It is the easiest thing to do to prevent aging of the skin. I think this product is very good at what it sets out to do. The ingredients in this product do repair aging that has been done to the skin and the sunscreen protects against any future aging.
