If you want to win the war on fine lines and wrinkles, use retinol. It is one of the best things that helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkle and actually treats them. Lately 2.5% products have been making their way in the beauty world and I am very happy with them. I prefer these over the 1% products as they provide better results. The only caveat is to avoid the eye area, as it becomes very sensitive to anything else that can be put there too. Especially if you are also using AHAs with retinol. I am not saying it can’t be done but not around the eyes.
Retinol promises the following: it repairs skin on a molecular level to erase fine lines and wrinkles, it stimulates collagen for firmer, smoother skin, it speeds up skin cell turnover to fade brown spots, discoloration, and acne scars, it improves texture and tone for a smoother, softer, more radiant complexion and it unclogs pores to clear up acne and prevent future breakouts. I do think it does all of these things. And I like in the cream form. Sometimes you want your products in a cream form as opposed to a serum form.
