SEPHORA The Mascara gives your eyelashes intense volume, length and definition. It is a perfect match and a must-have. Eyes become seductive and intense. Lashes are long and separated. The striated-bristle brush grips the lashes so that you can easily intensify your look. Build up volume with each coat, easily done with this brush. The carnauba wax-enriched formula makes lashes look fuller and longer with each coat. This formula is acacia gum-based to set mascara for longer-wear.
In scientific research done with this mascara, on 24 false eyelashes after 30 brush strokes:

• there was a 195% increase in volume

In a test done on 100 volunteers after 3 days of use:

• 82% of the women tested said that the mascara lengthened their lashes
• 81% of the women tested said the mascara worked well for their lash type
• 82% of the women tested said the mascara made their lashes soft and supple
• 87% of the women tested said the mascara made their lashes look prettier
• 87% of the women tested said they were able to get additional volume by using more coats of mascara

SEPHORA The Mascara does indeed give lashes length, volume and definition. It is an all around great mascara. My lashes are extremely puny. They are invisible (very light blonde and short). I rely on mascara to help define my eyes. I need one that does more than one thing, as I like to have volume and length since I need both. This mascara does that and it does a great job of it. This mascara does not smudge or flake off either. As you can see from above (taken with my iPhone), my lashes actually look fairy long in these photos. The top photo shows my eye (taken with my regular camera), without any makeup on and my lashes look non-existent. I am very happy with this mascara: long, defined, voluminous lashes without any smudging or flaking during the day. What more can you ask for?
