Urban Decay Vice 4 Holiday Eye Shadow Palette
Yes, the holiday season is already upon us. Urban Decay has released their holiday offerings. And boy the release is amazing! This year they came out with the Vice 4 Eye Shadow Palette, Waterline Eye Pencil and a new shade of Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body. In the Vice 4 Eye Shadow Palette are 20 never before seen eye shadows in a beautiful case that comes with a double ended eye shadow brush (for shadow on one end and the crease on the other). It all comes in a cute bag (that can be used to carry makeup for travelling). The case is inspired by the shade Oil Slick, black with rainbow holographic shimmer.

This is well worth the $60.00 price tag. The eye shadows all have the Pigment Infusion SystemTM, so they are all very pigmented. These eye shadows are all creamy, long-wearing and have little to no fallout. They are all just about perfection and all that you could want them to be. The colors themselves are nice too, all colors that are beautiful shimmers, creamy mattes and lovely satins. These are colors that are similar to what Urban Decay already offers but are different enough that they warrant space in the palette. Believe me, these are not just any ol’ eye shadows thrown in there. These are very nice shadows.

The eye shadows are as follows: Bones (oyster satin with pearl), Grip (taupe matte with iridescent micro-glitter), Deadbeat (black satin with micro-glitter), Beat Down (deep metallic violet with blue micro-glitter), Pandemonium, Framed (light neutral matte-satin), Fast-ball (metallic peachy pink with micro-glitter), 1985 (metallic fuchsia with fuchsia micro-glitter), Underhand (burgundy-brown satin), Harlot (metallic lavender), Discreet (soft dusty mauve matte), Grasshopper (metallic emerald w/green micro-glitter), C-Note (frosted green with micro-glitter), Arctic (bright teal with tonal sparkle), Robbery (deep metallic brown-gunmetal), Bitter (reddish brown matte), Flame (bright orange with gold micro-glitter), Low (brown matte with iridescent micro-glitter), Crowbar (black with golden metallic pearl/micro-glitter), Delete (deep chestnut brown matte-satin).

I did a couple of looks with this palette. Well, more than a couple. I did five looks. I am very happy with the palette. I will admit this right now. I do think that it is one of their best efforts. The shadows are nice, the color selection is also very good and I am happy that I picked up the palette. It is definitely something I will continue to use a lot.

My only complaint is that it is lacking in really good highlighting colors. I do think that the a couple of the lighter, highlighting colors are not as light as they could have been. I like my highlighting colors to be very light and shimmery, so that they either bring forward my upper lid more or really highlight under the brow. With as many colors as there are here I do think they missed out on a couple of good highlighting colors. Otherwise, this palette is extremely successful and I do recommend it.
