An exciting initiative in the beauty world has just taken shape to raise funds for the families of New York City’s fallen heroes.
MAYBELLINE NEW YORK and Spokesmodel EMILY DIDONATO (daughter of retired FDNY FF, sister of NYPD officer) have created the “Maybelline New York Experience” as an auction item at the 30th Anniversary Gala for Answer the Call – The NY Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund. Emily is serving as Honorary Co-Chair at the Gala taking place on October 22nd at the Waldorf Astoria.
"As both the daughter and sister of New York City First Responders, Answer the Call is an organization with a mission that is near and dear to my heart,” says Emily. “I have amazing memories of growing up as part of my dad's firehouse family in the Bronx and am truly honored to serve as Honorary Gala Chair for this special event, marking 30 years of supporting the families of our fallen FDNY, NYPD and PAPD heroes."
The night will feature a cocktail hour and formal dinner accompanied by a live auction. On behalf of Maybelline New York, Emily will give two lucky winners a behind the scenes look into her life as a supermodel as part of “The Maybelline New York Experience.”
In addition, Maybelline New York will be providing over 100 beneficiaries of fallen FDNY, NYPD and Port Authority Police Officers attending the event with Maybelline Makeup New York Gift Bags.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit the families of Answer the Call.
