If you have oily skin, then you are always on the lookout for a great cleanser. The type of cleanser that will help to dissolve sebum, clear out dead skin cells from the pores, help to prevent breakouts and cleanse skin of makeup, dirt, debris and anything else that is on the skin. If possible, you would like this cleanser to mattify the skin while it is at it too! Is this too much to ask for a cleanser? I don’t think so. Garnier has a cleanser that does all of these things. Their new Clean+ Shine Control Cleansing Gel addresses each one of these conditions that I have outlined above.
This cleanser is specifically for oily skin but could also be used by those with combination skin and slightly acneic skin types. If your skin has some acne, but not extreme acne, I would still recommend using this cleanser. If you have a lot of acne, then this cleanser is likely not what you need. If you have a lot of acne you need to seek the help of a benzoyl peroxide cleanser or the help of a dermatologist. For those that have no acne and just need a regular cleanser, this one is perfect. It dissolves dirt, oil, makeup and daily debris. The formula is infused with charcoal to draw out impurities like a magnet. Charcoal is perfect for this, as it works to detoxify the skin, leaving it feeling cleaner than ever before. Oily skin has specific needs that need to be met by the right cleansing system and the right moisturizing care. After the first use, skin will feel deeply clean and shine free. After one week of use the clarity of the skin is visibly improved and pores start to diminish.
To use, wet hands and face. Pump a small amount of the cleanser onto hands and gently massage onto the face. Rinse with warm water until all of the foam is gone. This product has been tested for dermatologist safety and has also been ophthalmologist tested for use around the eye area. It is non comedogenic, so it will not clog pores. It is gentle to the skin and has been allergy tested too.
For best results, use with an oil-free moisturizer such as Moisture Rich Oil-Free or with BB Cream Oil-Free for Combination/Oily skin. Make sure to use with a SPF 30 or more during the day to prevent aging of the skin. Alternate use of the cleanser with Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub once or twice a week.
After using this cleanser for a while, on my normal skin, I can definitely say that this is a very nice cleanser. I have tried charcoal cleansers before, by other brands, and I love them. I was excited to try this one out. I was not disappointed in the least. It cleans skin extremely well. makeup and everything. I don’t use it on my eye area, just on the face. It gets makeup, dirt and grime off in a jiffy. Skin is left feeling incredibly smooth and soft. The charcoal in the cleanser allows pores to be cleansed of dead skin cells and extra sebum, so blemishes are less likely to be formed. Also, using this cleanser consistently is good for the skin. It helps to keep skin looking and feeling clean and soft.
