Review: A Few Items From "The Estee Edit" #TheEsteeEdit #EsteeLauder #SEPHORA #KendallJenner

(product photos courtesy of www.sephora.com)

Recently I tried some products from The Estee Edit from SEPHORA. They are only available at SEPHORA. The line is some basic makeup with some fun stuff thrown in for fun. The Estee Edit is Estee Lauder's way of reaching a new demographic, the young hip millenials that everyone wants to reach these days...Either way, I will let you know that the line is large. Around 40 items with makeup, skincare and some extras. It has everything you could want. And then some. Below read on for descriptions and then my thoughts on the product.

White Mud Exfoliating Scrub  + Mask 2.5 fl.oz./75 mL $40.00

This dual-action detoxifying and pore refining mask/exfoliating treatment helps to draw out impurities and removes excess oil and shine. White Mud comes from the super-fine, creamy smooth porcelain clay formula that slips on like silk and rinses off effortlessly. The mask also contains exfoliating jojoba beads that help to smooth the complexion and make uneven textures more even and skin feels  refined of flakiness and roughness. Blackheads are removed and pores look refined for a soft, smooth complexion that will be sure to turn heads.
Personally, I think this is a great mask that is good for all ages and skin types. It is a good mask to have around before makeup and to use prior to going out at night. Make skin look like perfection all the time with this mask.

Beam Team Hydrate + Glow 1.7 fl.oz/50 mL $42.00

This is a two-in-one hydrating cream to give you a luminous glow. Beam Team Hydrate + Glow is a double duty, double decker-hydration with two levels of illumination in one product. It's a complexion hybrid, meaning it creates an instant chang in how your skin looks while simultaneously delivering skin care ingredients. The tube hold an amazing, illuminating moisturizer with hyaluronic acid that gives you an instant glow. Plus, the touch-on concentrate under the cap gives you a high impact shimmer.

Softly scented with fruit and flower oils, like coconut and bergamot, you can use this formula alone or with makeup: over, under or mixed right in. To spotlight our best features, flip the cap to find a touch-on beam cream to instantly highlight cheekbones, brow bones and all your favorite glow zones.

I love to mix this with foundation and wear it like that. It works well that way. It helps make foundation glowy and is easily seen that way. The beam cream on top is great on cheeks and on top of the brows. This is something that is an essential is everyone's kit if you don't already have something like it.

A refreshing eye balm to help improve the look of the delicate eye area, it works to add radiance, it soothes, and it hydrates. This balm is formulated to make eyes look fresher, more wide-awake. Touch on the cooling tip to instantly refresh and enhance around the eyes. It helps erase a dull, tired appearance. Late Night Eraser contains micro-powdered pearls for luster, pink peony, cucumber, and apple to help sooothe, perfect and hyaluronic acid for moisture. Dark circles and puffincess look reduced and eye become brighter. Put it in in the morning for a bright start and then use it anytime over concealer for a quick, midday pick-me-up. It can be used as an eye cream too, the formula works as 24 hour care for the eyes.
Store it in the refrigerator for the ultimate in a cooling sensation. This product is dematologist tested, ophthalmologist tested and non-acnegenic. So it will not clog pores. Great for use on all skintones, it's formulated with micronized pearl for brightening rather than pigmented optics.

I love this eye cream. It makes eyes look refreshed, bright and awake. I use it in the morning so my eyes look bright and perfect for the day. This is the best answer to puffiness and dark circles that I have been able to find for eyes.

The Blackest Liner 0.085 oz. $22.00

An ultra-black, soft, thick black marker liner with 12-hour wear. The Blackest Liner instantly makes a dramatic statement. Whether you want to create a winged liner look to a cat eye, this liner's flexible marker-like tip (felt tip) allows for a smooth, even line that makes lining the eye easy and quick. The liner wears for up to 12 hours and is resistant to tears, water and humidity. It makes thick lines and thinner lines but not ultra thin ones. I like this liner because it goes on easily and the line goes on smoothly, no skipping. Cat eyes are easy as are wings.

The Edgiest Kohl Shadowstick 0.049.oz./14g $22.00

The Edgiest Kohl is a shadow and a liner in one that you can use on the waterline* and that lasts up to 24 hours. (*the area between the lashes and the inner area of the lid) Create multiple effects from a kohl-lined look to a smoky eye. The Edgiest Kohl ShadowStick won't budge. It stays where you put it until you take it off and looks as good in the evening as it did in the morning when you put it on. Or the night before. These are layering friendly, so you can create a multitude of eye attitudes with just a few shades. Each comes with a built in sharpener. This is your new secret weapon. This product is free of fragrance.

Shades are: Black Viper, Frost Bite, Guilt, Twisted, Jaded, Royal Scandal, Iced, Grounded, Spiced, Violet Taboo**. **Violet Taboo not approved for use on waterline. I tried out grounded, a coffee brown shade. It goes on smoothly and wears like iron. Once it has set it does not come off. I would suggest that if you are going to be mixing shades do it quickly, as it sets quickly so to blend them in nicely takes a little getting used to and a little bit of work. But it is totally worth it for the payoff you get when you get a look that does not budge and is likely waterproof.

So, those are The Estee Edit products I tried. All in all I was very happy with what I was able to try out. I am going to try other products from the line. I think there are around 40 products in the line and some of the others are an eye shadow palette, lipsticks, blush, powder, etc. Basic makeup and some fun items thrown in for good measure. The line was developed with Kendall Jenner by the Estee Lauder Company. Purchase The Estee Edit at www.sephora.com or SEPHORA stores.
