Micellar cleansers are all the rage right now. They have been around for a little while but they have just now been perfected. What is a micellar cleanser? Well, it is a cleanser that has these tiny oil molecules in it that are combined with water and the oil molecules are actually suspended in the water. Cool, huh? Science at work! The micelles, as they are called, are actually multi-action, they perform multiple duties.
How and why do they work? Micelle molecules work together to trap, then lift makeup away from the face and draw out impurities. They grab the makeup, oil and debris on the face and draw it up into the micelles and then lift it up onto the cotton pad and leave the face feeling soft, supple, toned, refreshed and clean. No need to rinse or cleanse any further. How do you use the cleanser? Easy! Just saturate a cotton pad with the cleanser and clean your entire face and eyes with it and it will take off all of your makeup, even the waterproof kind.
I love micellar cleansers because at night I am really tired and lazy and this is an easy way to cleanse the skin without having to go through the process of using a cleanser with water. It saves one whole step and a whole lot of time. And my skin is really clean. The philosophy purity made simple micellar cleanser is especially good. I have found that it does a great job of cleansing the skin and not leaving anything behind. It comes in two sizes, a 3.4 fl.oz. ($12.00) and a 6.7 fl.oz. ($22.00).
2.5 fl.oz./75mL $18.00
Do you suffer from blackheads (comedones)? Most people do. Essentially all they are is sebum that gets stuck in the hair follicle (pore) and oxidizes, turning that black color. They can get quite large as the follicle fills with sebum. The best way to get rid of them is to apply a mask that has an exfoliant that will help clean out the pores and a clay that will help draw up the sebum so that it is not stuck in the pores. This mask says that in two uses you will see virtually blackhead free skin. This mask exfoliates dull, dry skin and draws out impurities.
The philosophy purity made simple pore extractor mask contains purifying white clay, salicylic acid and natural exfoliants. The creamy-rich mask draws out impurities, scrubs away blackheads and shrinks the look of pores. After using this mask skin looks and feels smooth and deep-cleaned; pores look less visible and blackhead-free. Skin is left looking refreshed, glowing and appears virtually blackhead free*. 98% of women agreed their skin felt smooth and soft with a fresh look and feel*. 93% of women agreed their skin felt deep-cleaned and pores look un-clogged*. (*2-week self assessment study, 56 women ages 20-35, 2x per week usage)
What is the best way to use this mask? To use, gently massage onto clean, dry skin focusing on the T-Zone and oily areas such as the nose, chin and forehead. Leave on skin for 5-10 minutes or until the clay is completely dry. Rinse with warm water. For deeper exfoliation, increase the massage intensity when applying and while removing with water, perform a second massage. It is recommended to use this mask at least twice a week.
This mask was voted as a 2017 Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner. I think it is one of the best blackhead masks I have ever used. It definitely works. Lately my skin is almost void of them as I am older but I still have some. And this mask got rid of them, immediately. I was very happy.
