COOLA Dawn Patrol Makeup Primer SPF 30 is a great primer for skin because it has a SPF 30 in it. You can skip the sunscreen you normally use under your primer and just use the primer instead! This silky-smooth formula provides a multitasking base for radiant skin and flawless makeup application. A proprietary blend of Honeysuckle, White Lily and Iris Stem Cells instantly enhances overall skin quality, while their signature Plant Protection and broad spectrum SPF 30 shields and protects skin from damaging UV rays. Can be used alone or before foundation for flawless skin protection with the perfect photo finish! The SPF 30 comes from Avobenzone 1.9%, Octosalate 4% and Octocrylene 7%. These are chemical sunscreens, so if you are allergic to them you will not be able to use this product. Howevver, COOLA makes products with mineral sunscreens. The great thing about this primer is it works for all skin types and tones. It is weightless and layers seamlessly with other makeup and it binds to skin and makeup. This primer does not cake or flake. It is water resistant for up to 40 minutes. It is preservative and synthetic fragrance-free.
I found it to be one of the best primers I have ever used. It blends into the skin quite easily and lets makeup sit right into the skin where it goes. I have tried all kinds of primers. Rarely if ever do they contain SPF. I like that this does because it means that I don't have to wear sunscreen under my makeup or under my primer, which means less to make my skin oily looking by the end of the day. This is great! I am very happy. So far, so good and I happen to love their sunscreens too. Very good suncare. This primer does not have any silicone in it that allows it to have some slip on the skin, instead it relies on an oil to give it that slip. The oil is a very light oil, sunflower seed oil. I love the way it glides on the skin and sinks right in to it. It moisturizes the skin as it primes it. It is very nice.
