I have tested hundreds of foundations, and usually call myself the foundation queen because I know a lot about foundations. It is because my skin is so fair that I have trouble finding foundations that are light enough to work on my pale skin tone. There are a few. Not many, but a few.

I was introduced to a new foundation called Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation and thought about trying it out to see how it would fare against my other foundations. What is so special about this foundation? Well, it is like a breathable second skin for one thing. It contains the patented Ceravitae™ Complex, aloe vera and seven layer silica gel technology to form the unique breathable matrix that powers Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation. Ceravitae supports new skin cell production and the healing process following aesthetic procedures or skin problems. The oxygenating, natural components of the gel base, Vitamin E, grape seed extract and Salix alba extract work in harmony to create a light, breathable protective skin.

This foundation was formed in conjunction with top plastic surgeons, dermatologists and scientists. Oxygenetix has been developing and perfecting the formulation for more than a decade. Other formulations of foundation are generally worse for your skin, more so than than wearing nothing at all because they eventually clog pores or can trigger sensitivities. To remove them, you have to use more chemicals, which is not good. These products don't accelerate healing and they cannot directly be applied after peels or other aesthetic procedures. Oxygenetix Foundation is actually better for your skin than wearing nothing at all!

Oxygenating Foundation addresses a wide range of skin problems and can be applied immediately and directly to compromised skin to provide even color and coverage while supporting the healing process. It shortens or eliminates the social downtime that would otherwise follow surgical procedures and aesthetic treatments. The foundation can be applied immediately following a CO2 laser resurfacing, microneedling, chemical peels, injectibles, IPL, laser hair removal, and other procedures to conceal any redness, scarring or bruising. This foundation is oxygen-permeable and allows skin to breathe even when enjoying full coverage. Their patented Ceravitae Complex supports collagen production, as well as new connective tissue and skin cell growth. This breathable foundation also covers and addresses many general skin problems, including:
  • surface blemishes and minor injuries
  • liver and age spots
  • rashes
  • cracked or dry skin
  • acne scars
  • rosacea
  • other skin conditions such as vitiligo
I tried the regular Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation. It also comes in a Acne Control Formula ($76.00) and Hydro-Matrix Moisturizer ($70.00-$119.00). Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation comes in 12 shades. I tried Pearl, the lightest shade. It was light enough but had just a tad too much yellow in the shade for me. I am fairly neutral and need a balance of yellow and pink in my foundations.

Originally designed for use on burn patients, this foundation has no occlusive oils, water, fragrance or preservatives. They start with soothing aloe baradensis leaf juice as a base and then their proprietary breathable matrix, Ceravitae is added. Oxygenetix Foundation has been proven safe enough for even compromised and sensitive skin and is used after many different kinds of cosmetic procedures and by top doctors around the world to conceal the procedure. It is a full coverage foundation. At the same time it is light and beautiful, suitable for daily use by even the most discerning consumer. For anyone who uses only the best, this SPF25 foundation is used sparingly and stays on all day long. Retouching has become a thing of the past with this breathable, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic doctor-tested and approved formula. Regardless if you have perfect skin, rosacea, acne or very sensitive skin, Oxygenetix will feel like a second skin. You will look great, feel great and you can sweat in this foundation, swim a few laps or exercise knowing that it will stay on, keeping you looking great.
