Wearing a "sleeping mask" has become de rigeur these past few years as Korean skincare has swept through the nation. Sleeping masks are a very normal part of the skincare routine in Korea, they help to give a super dose of hydration and awaken the skin making the skin look brighter, more alive and more hydrated and moisturized upon awakening in the morning. I have many of them and use them often.
bliss what a melon reviving & de-stressing overnight mask is the perfect sleeping mask because it is easy to apply; is perfect for any and I mean any skin type; creates a nutrient-rich veil to bring tired, stressed out skin back to life; removes dead skin cells and toxins for a refreshed, dewy complexion; helps to boost skin's defenses against stress and the environment; balances to calm and de-stress skin; rehydrates as it tops off moisture levels and electrolytes to plump and soften and finally you wake up to vibrantly supple skin. Some of the key ingredients in this mask that help accomplish this are watermelon fruit extract, which is a more concentrated source of lycopene than tomatoes, and this antioxidant-rich fruit extract replenishes lost vitamins and minerals as it improves the moisture barrier to help prevent dehydration and water loss; it also acts as a natural toner to cleanse and refresh skin. Magnesium Aspartate, Copper and Zinc Glutonate are electrolytes that help balance skin and protect it from free radical damage. Rice Bran Extract is known to help fight irritation and redness while helping to maintain supple skin. Cucumber Fruit Extract helps moisturize dry, damaged skin for a softer, smoother appearance. Avena Sativa Oat Kernel Extract helps to moisturize and soothe to bring dull skin back to life. Sodium Hyaluronate is a form of hyaluronic acid and is a unique moisturizer that has a small enough molecule to hold 1,000 time is own weight in water for lightweight hydration. Finally, there is Timiron Halo™, a cosmetic grade radiant strobing powder designed to capture a natural looking glow and shimmering finish to refine facial features with this mask. It has a watermelon scent.
To apply, massage a thick layer on clean, dry skin for 1 minute. Avoid the eye area. Let it dry then sleep on it. Wake up and rinse thoroughly. Use 2-3 times per week for super hydrated skin.
I adore this mask. It is so nice to sleep with. I like to put it on, leave a nice thick film and then wear an eye mask too. It leaves my skin feeling so soft, supple and hydrated that I don't want to do anything else to it for fear of messing it up. I don't have a picture of this because you cannot really see the mask as it is applied. But let me say that skin deserves this mask. Any skin type, even acneic. I think this is primarily for mature, dry and dehydrated skins. Then normal, combination and oily and acneic skins. As I write them.
Until Next Time~
