Although as an Esthetician I am supposed to make recommendations for toner, I usually don't if someone has dry skin and they do not break out. However, at night I use makeup wipes on my dry skin and I like to make sure I have removed all of the makeup residue on my face. This is where toner is useful. I received Skin & Co. Roma Truffle Therapy Face Toner in a subscription box and I have been very happy with it. So, I thought I would write a review on it.
This gentle, powerful, soothing and healing toner is great for any skin type. Truffle Therapy Face Toner deeply cleanses and purifies pores (hair follicles) with the antiseptic power of Witch Hazel and Sage. If effectively removes impurities, clogged pores and dead skin cells to treat, heal and prevent blemishes. The natural extracts and antioxidant properties of Black Winter Truffle, Rosemary, Calendula and Cucumber soothe and protect skin from environmental and free radical damage.
Truffle Therapy Face Toner is an essential step in the beauty regimen for healthy and radiant skin, as well as balancing and refreshing the complexion. What it does:
This facial toner contains Black Winter Truffle, which has a high concentration of powerful antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) that finds cells damaged by free radicals and environmental aggressors to reverse and prevent further damage. Witch Hazel is a naturally occurring antiseptic that helps to balance oil production in the skin. It prevents acne-producing bacteria and impurities from entering the pores, reduces pore size and inflammation. Rosemary is a potent source of antiseptic and antioxidant properties. The extract purifies pores of acne-causing bacteria while increasing circulation to regulate skin's cellular turnover to reveal a rejuvenated complexion and protects skin from free radical oxidative damage. Calendula is stimulating and healing to the skin. It soothes irritated and sensitive skin, while repairing damaged skin. Glycerin is a plant based emollient used in skincare to increase hydration while improving skin's ability to retain moisture by repairing surface skin damage that causes dehydration. This product is cruelty-free, vegan, contains 98.6% natural ingredients, BPA-free, GMO-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, mineral oil-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free and is propylene glycol-free.
I have found this product to be an excellent toner. I have dry skin and I do suffer from acne occasionally, even with using Retin-A every other night. This helps remove any remaining makeup residue and actually leaves skin feeling like it is not dry nor tight. Another thing that I like is that it makes skin feel softer afterward, instead of drier. Most toners make skin feel drier. It doesn't say what the pH level of this is but I assume it is close to 5.5, which is neutral and close to skin's own level.
Until Next Time~
