It is essential that when you wear a facial moisturizer in the morning that it has a sunscreen in it. That is because you do not want to cause photoaging to occur, when the sun's rays actually tan or burn your skin, causing premature aging of the skin. That will make you look older faster. If there is one thing I do like to see it is the proliferation of younger women using a good variety of wonderful skincare on their faces so early these days. That is why my skin looks so good at age 48. I have been using sunscreen and good skincare since I was very young.
A nice facial moisturizer with sunscreen that I would recommend for any skin is CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion With Sunscreen SPF30. It is a hydrating face lotion that is a key skincare step. The SPF is critical for helping to protect the skin from damaging UV rays. For hydration and skin-barrier replenishment that helps the skin hold onto its moisture, look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and ceramides. The non-comedogenic moisturizer will not clog pores or cause acne flare-ups. This morning multitasker features three essential ceramides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide. It uses a patented MVE Delivering Technology to supply much-needed moisture and nourishment throughout the day. Offering broad spectrum sunscreen, this SPF30 has InVisibleZinc™ Technology (microfine zinc oxide) that spreads easily and evenly over the face while leaving a residue-free clear finish. And because this non-comedogenic moisturizer formula won't clog pores, it is ideal for all skin types. The other sunscreens it contains are: Homosalate 10%, Meradimate 5%, Octinoxate 5%, Octocrylene 2% and it contains 6% of the micro-fine zinc oxide 6.3%. Only the zinc oxide is a mineral sunscreen, the others are all chemical. If you are allergic to chemical sunscreens, this product is not for you.
This product is also recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation for daily use. That is one of the reasons I like it so much. The other is because it can be used for any skin type and also because it has the micro-fine zinc oxide in it which means that it sinks right into the skin. It works well all day long, but if you will be in the sun all day, it will need reapplication after a couple of hours.
