I often call myself the foundation queen because I have tried so many of them (at least 150). It was until recently that many cosmetic companies actually didn't make shades light enough for my skin tone. These days you will find that many companies have a large enough shade choice for people. I am very fair complected and need a very light shade that will match with my pale neck and jaw.
When I received COVERGIRL's Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation I was a little skeptical about liking it. This is from their new Clean Fresh line, which is formulated without formaldehyde, phthalates, parabens, sulfates and talc. The lightweight nourishing liquid foundation gives skin the moisture boost it needs and craves with a delicate infusion of milky coconut and soothing aloe. You will end up experiencing a glowing, dewy fresh finish that lasts all day long, blurring imperfections and creating a more even skin tone. It comes in 14 shades that span the spectrum from light to dark: Porcelain, Fair, Fair/Light, Light, Light/Medium, Medium, Medium/Tan, Tan, Tan/Rich, Rich, Rich/Deep, Deep, Deep/Dark and Dark. Use with COVERGIRL TruBlend Face Primer before applying for an even more flawless finish. This foundation is also vegan and cruelty-free.
I tried two shades, Porcelain and Fair. Porcelain worked better for me but Fair would work well for me in the summer or if I was wearing a lighter coat of the foundation. The foundation is a light coverage foundation and goes on very nicely. It blends in evenly without much trouble and dries without streaking. I like how it wears, as it wears well throughout the day but it is not a long-wear foundation. However I do prefer a longer wearing foundation, especially when it is warmer outside. I would recommend this foundation for those that have sensitive skins, those that want fewer bad ingredients in their products and for those that like a lighter foundation in general.
