If you’re like many people, you probably tune into the labels on food you eat, hunting for items with reduced sugar and fat, lower calories, and more better-for-you ingredients. That’s understandable; if you can’t pronounce it you might not want to eat it. But what about the other items in your life that you rely on day to day, too? Do you check them with as much rigor? Take, for example, the lotions and potions that you use to take care of your skin and your face, that you apply during a beauty routine. You’re at no less of a risk from them than you are with other products, and many of those items are chockablock full of chemicals and other things that could put you at danger. So how do you know what to pay attention to and what standards should you set for your beauty routine? This graphic explains it.
