Matte lipstick has been in style and very trendy for a few years now and I don't see the trend ending anytime soon. Every cosmetics company makes a version of matte lipstick of some kind and they are very popular, mainly because matte lipsticks these days are not the general dry, flaky kind that they used to be back in the 80's and 90's. Today matte lipsticks have moisturizers in them that help keep lips supple and they are less drying than in the past. I would advise having a few key shades in your makeup wardrobe to have great colors to choose from.

Here I will show you 5 shades that I tried out from the Color Sensational The Mattes Line. I tried out Peach Buff, Beige Babe, Ravishing Rose, Siren in Scarlet, and Divine Wine. Two of the shades are nudes and make great summer nude shades. There is a beautiful red, rose and a wine shade for evening.

As you can see, the colors are very vivid, pigmented and I found them to glide on smoothly. The lipsticks are actually moisturizing to the lips instead of drying. I like the fact that I can apply them without a lipliner and still get good coverage and actually get a good line out of the lipstick with the way the bullet is shaped. I am a HUGE fan of Maybelline lipsticks and have a lot of them. They are some of my very favorites. There are so many nice colors and textures plus the price point is very nice too.
