Recently DERMA E introduced a hair care range that goes along with their Proven Clean Beauty line of skincare, body care and sun care, I was lucky enough to try out the Scalp Relief set as well as the Thickening Shampoo and Thickening Conditioner. Now if you know my hair at all, the last thing I need is to thicken my hair at anymore but at least I can try this out in the name of beauty!
The DERMA E Thickening Shampoo is a good choice for those looking to thicken their hair up some, if you have fine to thin hair. Increases body, volume, and healthy hair growth for fuller and thicker looking hair. This invigorating shampoo is formulated with a unique blend of naturally-derived proteins, vitamins, and oils to create an effective thickening formula that nourishes the scalp and hair follicles. Amplifies hair for thicker and fuller locks, reducing hair thinning. Safe for color-treated hair. It contains the following:
- Eucalyptus Oil: Nutrient-rich essential oil that helps to support healthy hair texture, volume and growth. Eucalyptus oil serves as a calming and restorative agent by soothing dryness on the scalp and stimulating hair follicles.
- Spearmint Oil: Helps to cool and nourish to support scalp health and healthy hair texture.
- Provitamin B5 also known as Panthenol: Works to deeply hydrate and nourish the scalp and hair follicles for noticeably shiny, stronger and healthier-looking hair.
To use, massage into wet hair and scalp creating a rich lather. Leave in for 3-5 minutes then rinse. For best results follow with DERMA E’s Thickening Volume Conditioner. Gentle for daily use.
DERMA E Thickening Conditioner is used after the shampoo and is a sulfate-free, ultra-hydrating conditioner that is infused with a nutrient-rich blend of naturally-derived proteins and essential oils to help nourish the scalp and hair from root to tip. Enriched with gentle exfoliating Willow Bark and nourishing Peppermint Oil to help support a healthy scalp. Ultra-hydrating Argan Oil helps to soften hair while Biotin helps to promote healthy hair and noticeably softer, stronger and rejuvenated strands. Develops fullness through the ends, reducing hair thinning. Safe for color-treated hair. The following ingredients help thicken the hair:
- Willow Bark: gently exfoliates and soothes the scalp
- Peppermint Oil: contains fatty acids and minerals that support healthy hair texture and thickness. This essential oil helps increase circulation, follicle depth and overall hair growth.
- Argan Oil: rich in nutrients and Vitamins, Argan Oil improves scalp health and restores shine, strength and softness to hair while taming frizz.
- Biotin: increases hair elasticity and strength allowing the hair to grow thicker and restores shine, revitalizes follicles and roots.
To use: after shampooing, apply conditioner from mid-length to the ends of hair. Leave on for 1-2 minutes and rinse well. Use regularly for best results.

Notice how full and bouncy my hair looks. My hair looks very thick and voluptuous. This Thickening Shampoo and Thickening Conditioner work very well to add body, bounciness, thickness and voluptuousness to hair. I happen to have a lot of hair already but with this shampoo it just adds to the overall volume creating a mountain of hair that I happen to think is amazing. They both smell amazing and create a wonderful aroma to shampoo and condition your hair to. The peppermint oil is very refreshing and helps kind of wake you up in the shower. I found that these products work very well, as they do help to thicken the hair and actually do what they say they are going to do. I would recommend these products for anyone who has fine, thin or thinning hair and wants to get some body, bounce back into your hair. Definitely get this if you want to help your hair, the price point is excellent and DERMA E is proven clean beauty. Their products are GMO free, vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, soy-free, recyclable and have wind energy certificates.

Peppermint oil is quite refreshing and might help you wake up in the shower. I discovered that these products work extremely well because they aid to thicken the hair and genuinely perform what they claim to do.
