When HUDA BEAUTY started their skincare line I was a little incredulous. Honestly the makeup can be a hit or miss sometimes but so far I have liked everything I have tried in the skincare range. That includes the sheet masks, Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub and now CLEAN GENIE Cleansing Butter.
WISHFUL SKIN CLEAN GENIE Cleansing Butter is cleansing balm that transforms from a butter into a melting oil that effortlessly removes long-wear makeup or any kind of makeup. It is a gentle but powerful balm that is the first step in your double cleansing routine. This cleansing butter melts away tough makeup leaving your skin perfectly soft, soothed and clean. Infused with green tea and malachite, the formula dissolves makeup and impurities while leaving your skin feeling hydrated. To use, take a small amount (dime sized amount) and scoop into hands. Massage onto DRY skin for 60 seconds to remove makeup (make sure to get eye makeup too!), then rinse with warm water and a cloth. Watch as the formula transforms into a milk that easily washes away. You will be left with fresh, clean comfortable skin. No greasy film or dry skin. Follow with a foaming cleanser for the ultimate double cleanse. I recommend Kylie Skin Foaming Facial Cleanser.
The Green Tea Extract that is in this cleansing balm is known to help maintain skin moisture and helps to soothe skin, which its clarifying properties help pull impurities out of the skin. Cherry Blossom Extract is known to condition the skin, leaving it soft and supple. The Malachite Stone is known to have antioxidant properties, as it helps fight against the effects of pollution, including clogged pores (congestion) and a dull complexion.

I would recommend this product for all skin types, as it is a cleansing balm and is washed off. It will not affect acne lesions and actually helps them by removing acne causing dirt, impurities and makeup. This cleansing balm is quite comforting to the skin and I find it very easy to use. The great thing about it that you only need a small amount to do the whole face. Also, it doesn't irritate the eyes and removes eye makeup in a snap. When I mean eye makeup, I mean all traces of mascara and that includes HUDA BEAUTY Legit Lashes Mascara, which is thick with black pigments and very heavy. You definitely have to use this on dry skin or the product will not turn into a milk when combined with warm to water. This product should last months. Is it a worthwhile investment? Definitely. It doesn't irritate the eyes, it cleans and softens the skin and leaves it feeling soft without any trace of makeup left on the skin. One night I used this and didn't double cleanse. Instead I used a micellar cleanser afterwards as I wanted to see how much makeup would be left on the skin after washing the balm off, and guess what? There was nothing left. Nothing. CLEAN GENIE Cleansing Butter got rid of all the makeup!
