Chronic Inflammatory Diseases and CBD Products
If you suffer from a chronic inflammatory disease, then you are aware of just how life consuming this issue is. There are a number of chronic inflammatory diseases, which we will cover later, and each one presents its own unique issues. Scientists are still working to draw conclusive results in cannabis research, but current and completed studies show that CBD products may provide some relief to people with chronic inflammation. Many people who suffer from a chronic inflammatory disease may find relief from a holistic CBD regimen consisting of products such as full spectrum CBD gummies and a CBD roll on.
A chronic inflammatory disease is exactly what it sounds like. Basically, a number of conditions and causes lead to inflammation. Chronic inflammation conditions also present in a number of different ways. Some are genetic in nature, some are developed at some point in life, some are caused by other health issues, and some happen due to an event or occurrence.
Inflammation presents in the body in a number of ways. Some inflammation is minor, some is not externally visible, and some inflammation is very external and visible. Again, it depends on the source of the issue. Regardless of the point and severity of inflammation, any inflammation is the body’s way of signaling a severe issue. In certain cases, inflammation can trigger an autoimmune response and lead to diseases like Type I Diabetes.
Chronic inflammation can be a symptom or indication of:
● Cardiovascular disease (CVD)
● Arthritis and other joint diseases
● Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
● Rheumatoid arthritis
● Acute injury
● Chronic peptic ulcer
● Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
● Active hepatitis
Chronic inflammation may also contribute to diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and obesity, all metabolic disorders.
CBD is short for the word cannabidiol, which is a cannabinoid found within the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are molecules contained in the cannabis plant and are responsible for much of hemp’s potential benefits. There are over 100 cannabinoids in cannabis, including CBD and THC. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is considered the psychoactive component of marijuana and cannabis plants. CBD has many of the same effects and properties of THC, but is completely non-psychoactive.
CBD products work by binding to endocannabinoid receptors in our bodies. These receptors are naturally present in the human body, and our bodies actually make cannabinoids on their own. CBD mimics these natural cannabinoids and produces similar results in the body. Scientists are still working to determine exactly how well CBD mimics these naturally occurring cannabinoids. More research is needed to determine the ideal conditions and composition of CBD for chronic inflammation. A large body of research currently shows that CBD is being investigated for it’s anti-inflammatory, pain relieving, and regenerative properties.
A CBDroll on is one of the most effective ways to receive the potential benefits that CBD offers. Applying CBD topically allows you to get straight to the source. If inflammation is localized or externally visible, then a CBD roll on is a great way to deliver those cannabinoids through the skin and to the inflamed internal tissue. CBD may reduce the inflammation at the issue site, and may also help dull the pain caused by inflammation or injury.
CBD gummies are great for delivering cannabinoids throughout your body for overall wellness. By taking an ingestible form of CBD, the cannabinoids work through your digestive system and are absorbed into the bloodstream. From there, the cannabinoids work throughout your body and bind with endocannabinoid receptors at all sources of inflammation. CBD products taken orally may help with overall pain and inflammation reduction.
Scientists are still working to definitively claim a link between chronic inflammation and CBD, but the current studies are promising.
