DERMA E has anti-acne products galore if you are suffering from mild to moderate acne and/or scarring from acne. Recently I was able to try out a few of their anti-acne products and will be reviewing them. The first product I would like to discuss is their Anti-Blemish Clarifying Bi-Phase Toner.
This toner is lightweight, for those with oily to acneic skin. It deeply penetrates the skin to help remove excess sebum, reduce redness and balance the skin's moisture levels after cleansing. Provides a healthier looking complexion. It contains Glycolic Acid to exfoliate the skin, tea tree oil to help clarify the skin and deeply cleanse it, Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps to nourish the skin and improves its texture. Rose Water contains powerful antioxidants that help condition and soothe the skin. Aloe Vera and Cucumber help calm and soothe irritated and inflamed skin. This formula help enhances the effectiveness of DERMA E's other anti-acne product and can be layered with other acne-fighting treatments.
Because it is a bi-phase toner, it needs to be shaken well before use to mix both layers of the toner. Apply with a cotton pad to clean skin. Great for both morning and evening.
This toner can be used on combination skin, oily skin and acneic skin. I would avoid using it on sensitive skin. It is especially great for oily and acneic skin. The toner exfoliates the skin, reduces clogged pores, reduces sebum on the skin and in the pores, helps reduce redness and inflammation and rebalances the skin after cleansing.
I like the feeling of the toner on the skin, it feels refreshing. You can definitely smell the tea tree oil and feel the glycolic acid working. I did notice redness was reduced. I had been having a small breakout on my chin recently and used this to help with it, and succeeded in having the breakout stopped in its tracks by using this toner repeatedly twice daily. Using this toner, in addition to an anti-acne regimen, will help with acne blemishes and breakouts. I would advise this for mild to moderate breakouts. Should your acne by severe, seek the advice of a dermatologist.
