As the weather gets colder and drier, our skin also gets drier. Even if you have the oiliest of skins, you will find that your skin will tend to dry out in winter. Why? Usually because of the low humidity in the air outside and of the forced air heat inside. How do we help to rehydrate our skin? One of best ways is to use hyaluronic acid which is naturally found in our skin.
DERMA E makes a wonderful Hydrating Mist that contains hyaluronic acid as well as plant botanicals to help attract moisture back into the skin. How does it work so well? Hyaluronic acid is a great "moisture magnet" so to speak as the molecule holds 1,000 times its own weight in water and is a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin. The mist also contains rosewater, which is a natural antioxidant that nourishes and soothes the skin and helps fight free radicals. Coconut water is also included because it is ultra-hydrating and it moisturizes the skin. Witch Hazel helps to add a cool, refreshing feeling to the skin. It also contains green tea extract, anther antioxidant, to help fight free radicals. Aloe vera and ProVitamin B5 (panthenol) are added to help soothe the skin and nourish the skin. Add it all together and you get a gorgeous dewy complexion.
This product is great to spritz on before makeup and primer to help attract moisture to the skin. It also makes a wonderful mist that will hydrate your skin throughout the day, even over makeup. Just spritz on anytime you need extra moisture! To use: shake gently before using, close your eyes and lightly mist your face, neck or wherever skin is dry. Spray over makeup to set in place. Personally, I find the DERMA E Hydrating Mist to be a perfect companion to the cold fall and winter weather. The mist is very soothing to my skin and it instantly hydrates my complexion. I know that as soon as I spray it on I can feel relief from a dry, itchy irritated skin.
