I cannot speak as to whether or not these will actually prevent you from getting a virus, that is technically not legal. However, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3 and Zinc are all an important part of a nutritional diet and without adequate amounts of Vitamin C you can become ill. Vitamin C is needed to help boost the immune system and a loading up on it can prevent illness. It is one Vitamin the body cannot make or store and we need to actually take it from outside the body. Vitamin D3 is an immune system regulator, muscle function and most Americans are sorely lacking in Vitamin D. I know that I have been lacking in Vitamin D and definitely needed a good punch of it. Zinc has been shown to be essential for cell growth and division, immune system function, enzyme reactions, DNA synthesis and protein production. As to whether or not taking organic mushrooms could help your immune system function, there is evidence on Google that medicinal mushrooms do help the immune system. However, each website mentions different effects for different mushrooms: antioxidant properties, T-Cell properties, antibodies and macrophages. The list is endless and I cannot go into all here. Suffice it to say that there is ample evidence that taking the mushrooms DO help strengthen the immune system. 

I have only been taking them for about a week, so I would not be able to see enough benefits yet. But I will keep taking them and see how they do and update this post. I do know that I can always use the Vitamin C, D and Zinc that are offered in this supplement and hope for the best regarding the organic mushrooms. My immune system hopefully will function better and will stave off colds and the flu because of it.
